The £1 Makeup Brush

I was in Poundland the other day just browsing when I found their makeup brushes! I was on the hunt for a new powder brush as my Mac powder brush died on me.  I picked this one from the brand 'allura', mainly because its pink!

It is really soft and fluffy but it's not of the best quality.  It is quite flimsy which makes it really hard to apply powder with.  It is better suited for products that require a very light application, take powder highlight as an example.  It also sheds like mad! Every 2 seconds, I'm trying to peel bristles off my face and out of my nose (not fun) and it's a bit of a pain, but for £1, what do you expect.

I think it is definitely worth spending a little more on some better quality brushes, as the finish of your makeup all depends on the tools you use to apply it.  Although, if you are on a serious budget, this is practically a steal so you would probably be able to persevere and make do.

For me, I don't think this is going to get a lot of use because it just makes makeup application so difficult!

Do you know of any cheap makeup brushes that are of a better quality? Let me know in the comments or on twitter and Facebook!

On Wednesdays We Wear Pink... #2 - NOTD ❤

Welcome to the second instalment of 'On Wednesdays We Wear Pink..'.

Today I am sporting a pastel baby pink from none other than Barry M.  It is in the shade Rose Hip and it is probably one of my most worn colours at the moment.  I really like the Barry M Gelly Polishes, they have an amazing formula. They are pigmented, long lasting , fast drying and very shiny.  It is perfect for Spring and Summer and I like how tanned it makes my ghostly hands look.  It also looks good on your toes!

What are you wearing on your nails today?

On Wednesdays We Wear Pink... #1 - My Top 5 Pink Lip Products ❤

I have decided to start a series on my blog called 'On Wednesdays We Wear Pink..' where I will be posting about something pink on a wednesday!

Today I have my Top 5 Pink Lip Products for you.  I am a lip junkie and I am constantly facing the struggle of 'which lipstick shall I wear today?' which is hard!

The first is my Nars Lipgloss in the shade 'Turkish Delight'.  This is probably the most expensive lip products I own and it's probably one of the nicest! It is a sheer, glossy pale pink colour that looks good over a lipstick or on its own.  It lasts quite a long time and is easy to apply on the go.

The next is the Collection Cream Puff in the shade 'Cotton Candy'. It is the perfect mid-tone pink that would look good on anyone.  The formula is amazing, they are so buttery and soft and feel like velvet on the lips. They dry your lips out a tad but its nothing a bit of lip balm can't fix.  They smell and taste like vanilla and cake as well which is a bonus!

Moving onto a more daring colour, the Rimmel Apocalips Lip Lacquer in the shade 'Apocaliptic' which is a neon fuchsia.  It looks good on most skin tones and adds a nice pop of colour to your look if you wear a very minimal eye look.  The formula of these is quite glossy and long wearing but are hard to apply on the go without a mirror and a steady hand.

It was inevitable that at least 1 Mac lipstick would be included in this.  The first is a deeper, more plummy pink.  Plumful is one of my favourite pink shades for the autumn and winter months and is a very flattering shade.  It's not too dark or bold but still gives a nice pop of colour to your lips.  Last but not least, one of my favourite lipsticks of all time, Creme Cup is the perfect blue toned baby pink that won't wash you out, no matter how pale you are.  It is good for all year round and is very subtle and pretty!

What is your favourite pink lipstick?

May Favourites 2014 ❤

I can't believe how fast this year is going and it literally feels like I blinked and then it was nearly June!

My first favourite has been talked about a lot on  my blog over the past few weeks. The Bourjois 123 Perfect CC Cream is literally the best thing since sliced bread! It blends so nicely, looks natural and leaves a dewy finish.  It can be worn alone or under a foundation and makes my skin look flawless.  I get quite a lot of freckles during the spring and summer months and I like that I can still see them through this so it still looks like skin.  This stuff is good skin in a bottle!

My second favourite goes hand in hand with my first.  I have always had a love/hate relationship with the Real Techniques Expert Face Brush but I think it works perfectly with the Bourjois CC Cream and I really love using it! Those of you that follow me on twitter will know that I dropped this brush in a cup of tea this morning (smart move..) but I washed it and it was absolutely fine so that's also a good thing!

The last makeup product is the Revlon Colorstay Shadow Links.  I have the shades petal, taupe and sand.  When I first got them, I was a little unsure about them because the pigmentation is not brilliant, but now I have used them a lot, I really like them! I find myself reaching for them even more than my Naked 3 which is saying something and I really like them for a subtle wash of colour and I think for £2.99, they are really good quality.

For skincare, I have been loving the Soap and Glory No Clogs Allowed. I have a review on it here and when I first got it, I wasn't overly fussed. I think this is one of those products that take a while and a lot of use before you see some results.  I have been using this weekly for about 2 months now and I have definitely been seeing some results over the past month.  My pores have been unclogged and appear smaller and I really love the fact that it doesn't leave my skin feeling stripped and tight.  My skin feels so soft and healthy after using it and I really love it!

For TV, I have been obsessed with Gogglebox. Where has this been all my life? It is absolutely hilarious and the posh couple are absolutely brilliant! Rumour has it, they will be on Celebrity Big Brother so keep your eyes out for that!

That is all for this month, what have been your favourites?

Bank Holiday Buys ❤

Seeing as its Bank Holiday and I am going to start a spending ban next month, I thought I would treat myself to a few bits and pieces.

The first thing I got was these Gold Midi Rings from New look for £3.99.  They are so pretty and easy to wear and they match perfectly with my gold watch.  They fit perfectly and can be worn in so many different ways.

I got 2 lip products because I have been stepping out of my comfort zone and wearing some more bright and daring lip colours.  The first one I have had my eye on for a while, the Collection Cream Puff in the shade 'fairy cake'.  I have the shade 'candy floss' as well which I loved and thought I'd try something more orangey seeing as most of my lip products are pink.  I really like the texture and formula of these and will be getting a lot of wear out of them throughout the summer months.

I also got the Rimmel Apocalips in the shade 'apocaliptic' which is a glossy, almost neon fuchsia.  It has a lot of blue tones in which makes your teeth look really white and it is surprisingly easy to wear. I can see myself wearing this a lot with a very simple eye look.

I had heard so much about the MUA blushes so I thought I'd give them a try. I got the MUA Blush Perfection Cream Blusher in the shade 'bittersweet' which is a soft pink shade.  On first impressions, they seem to give just the right amount of colour and look very subtle, natural and dewy.  I also got the MUA Powder Blusher in the shade 'Lolly' which is a light peachy shade.  I only own pink and red blushes so I thought I would try something a little different.
I also repurchased the Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer because I am running low on mine and I couldn't be without it!

Top to Bottom:- MUA Lolly, MUA Bittersweet, Rimmel Apocaliptic, Collection Fairy Cake

What bargains did you manage to find this Bank Holiday Weekend?

My Holy Grail Base Products ❤

These are the products that I can't bring myself to stray from and will always be repurchased when the dreaded day comes when they run out!

The first product is the Benefit Porefessional. This is perfect for minimising the appearance of my huge pores and helps to control oil and make my makeup last all day.  I have never come across anything that works quite like it and have used up several mini sizes.  When my mini runs out within the next few weeks, I won't think twice about parting with £24.50 to get the full size and I don't think I would ever use anything else.

The next is a new discovery of mine that I have fallen head over heels in love with. It's the Bourjois 123 Perfect CC Cream and I have a full review of it here and I have been using it constantly over the past fortnight.  It looks like you have nothing on because your skin shows through but covers up everything that you want to cover! It is amazing and I will definitely be repurchasing this in the future.

The next is, in my opinion, the best foundation ever! The Bourjois Healthy Mix Foundation has been mentioned thousands of times on my blog.  It gives amazing coverage, doesn't look cakey and gives you the perfect amount of dewyness without looking overly shiny and oily.  It is perfect in my opinion and I am definitely going to repurchase this time and time again!

The next is probably one of the most hyped up concealers in the beauty world. The Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer has been talked about by every beauty blogger and YouTuber and is definitely worth the hype! After using this, I don't think I could use any other concealers and I will repurchase this time and time again! It gives a flawless coverage, has an amazing shade range, is very long wearing and gives an amazing finish.  This is also the only drugstore concealer that I have found that is pale enough for my ghostly complexion.

The next is another very hyped up product. The Rimmel Stay Matte Powder is perfect for us oily skinned girls. It sets your make up perfectly and controls oil all day.  I have repurchased this so many times and I have not yet found a powder that is anything like this, nor would I choose over this.  I have hit pan on mine so I  will be repurchasing again soon!

The last is a tool.  The finish and the quality of your base is mostly down to the tools you use to apply it.  The Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge makes my foundation look perfect, ensures amazing coverage, prevents cakeyness and is extremely cheap! I have a whole review on it here. I will definitely be repurchasing this when I have worn out my current one!

What are your holy grail base products?

The Sunday Edit #1

Seeing as my blog is about my little world, I thought I'd throw in a few lifestyle posts now and again because at the moment it is mainly beauty with a hint of fashion.

This week has mainly consisted of revising for my science GCSE's that I had last week (with maybe a starbucks or two!).  All of my exams are now finished and I finished school on Friday for a week so I am looking forward to just taking a break and turning my attention back to blogging!

As you have probably noticed, my blog has gone under a bit of construction and I have been playing around with it a lot.  I think I have finally come to a layout that I am happy with and that best represents me and my interests!  I really like the vintage and shabby chic look so I am definitely pleased with the way it looks!

This week I also did my first ever collab post with Dalal Tahira which was really exciting and I had a lot of fun chatting to Dalal and working with her.  I would love to do some more collab posts in the future so if you would like to collaborate with me, all the information you need is on my collaborations page.

The weather is a little bit iffy at the moment which is a pain because I had planned to take some photos for upcoming posts and every time I go to take a picture, the sun goes in :(

I hope you are all having a lovely bank holiday weekend and let me know what you think about me doing more lifestyle posts!

Review | Bourjois 123 Perfect CC Cream

The Bourjois 123 Perfect CC Cream has been on my list of things to try ever since Georgiamariexo reviewed it on her YouTube Channel.  This seemed like the perfect product for school and days where you don't want to wear anything but still want to look some what presentable!

This is possibly one of my new favourite products! It is quite runny in consistency and glides onto the skin really easily.  I have a bit of a love hate relationship with my Real Techniques Expert Face Brush but I find it works perfectly with this.

It offers pretty good coverage and I find that I don't need to much concealer afterwards.  It has apricot in it which helps to cancel out my dark circles, green to cancel out redness and white to cancel out dark spots and blemishes.

It is very moisturising and I find that I don't even have to use a moisturiser before hand which saves time because I don't have to wait 10 minutes for it to sink in before I start applying makeup.  It also has SPF 15 in which is perfect for the summer months.

I also find that you could use this under a foundation to give you a really flawless, dewy look and you can also wear it on its own and build it up if you prefer more of a full coverage.

The only problem I do have is keeping it on! I have very oily skin and even when used with a primer, it tends to fade down my t-zone so I would definitely recommend setting it with a powder if you have oily skin.  I like that even when you set it with a powder, it still glows through so you still have a dewy glow and don't look completely matte.

Overall, I think this an amazing product and I definitely think it could give some higher end CC Creams a run for their money! At only £9.99, it's a bargain!

What are your thoughts on this product?

Spring Essentials Collab 💗

This is my first ever Collab post with the lovely Dalal from It's Raining Daisies.
These are the beauty products that I think are perfect for creating the fresh, dewy look that most people tend to go for in the Spring.

For a base, I like to use something light and dewy. If I don't want alot of coverage, I will use a CC cream. This evens out my skin tone and gives a soft, dewy finish without adding too much coverage or looking to heavy. I have recently been trying the Bourjois 123 Perfect CC Cream and so far I'm impressed (full review coming soon)! If I want a bit more coverage but still not too much, I will use my holy grail foundation which is the Bourjois Healthy Mix Foundation and gives a dewy, radiant look without looking shiny and it sets nicely so your face doesn't feel sticky which is one of my pet peeves! If I want to look fresh but nearer to full coverage, I use the L'oreal Lumi Magique Foundation . This offers good coverage if I'm having a bad skin day and still looks natural and radiant.

Glowy cheeks are a must have for Spring so cream/liquid blushes and highlights are a must! My current favourite blush is the Daniel Sandler Watercolour Fluid Blush in the shade 'Cherub'. It has a slight shimmer running through it which gives you a lovely pinky glow! You can wear this alone or you can set it with a translucent powder so it is very versatile. For highlight, I have been using Benefit High Beam non-stop throughout the Spring months. It gives you a sheen rather than a shimmer and looks really natural. This is a product that you can set with powder and it will still show through and make you look dewy.  For people who prefer powder, the Mac Mineralize Skin Finish in 'Soft and Gentle' which is essential in my opinion and is definitely worth the hefty price tag! It is a little more shimmery than the High Beam but it still looks natural enough to wear every day.

For eyes, I think subtle pinky colours are perfect! The Urban Decay Naked 3 Palette is absolutely perfect for Spring. The colours are so wearable and look great on every one.  For a cheaper option, the Revlon Shadowlink in the shade 'Petal' is a very good dupe for the shade 'Dust' in the Naked 3 but is less glittery so is easier to wear on a day to day basis and has a lot less fall out. For cream shadows, I have been loving the Benefit Creaseless Cream Shadow in the shade 'RSVP' because it is so easy to just slap on (not literally) with a couple of coats of mascara and you're good to go!

Pastel nails are a must, my favourites are Barry M Gelly Polish in Rose HipRevlon Top Speed in CloudEssie Mint Candy Apple, Nails Inc Oxford and China Glaze Re-Fresh Mint.

Last but not least, pink and coral lips are a must. Whether they are pastel, bright, matte, glossy, they are all very Springy! I have a whole post on my Top 5 Spring Lip Products here.

I hope you enjoyed this collab and make sure to check out Dalal's post and maybe give her blog a read and a follow!

If you would like to collaborate with me, all the information you need is in my collaboration and contact page!

I'm Back!

After a break from blogging and no posts for about a week, I'm back!

This week I have had my Science GCSE's and have been spending all my spare time revising. I have my last exam on Monday and after that I should be back to blogging, probably every other day whilst I'm still at school and hopefully daily in the May holiday and the Summer holidays.

Whilst I have a few posts in mind, I am struggling with a bit of writers block so if you have any ideas or requests, be sure to let me know!

I will be doing my first Q&A soon so if you have any questions, leave a comment or contact me through one of my social media links and I will answer all!

Look out for a Collab, Holy Grail Products and some more Summery themed posts coming soon!

Current Skincare Routine | May 2014

Being a beauty blogger, I am constantly trying new things and changing my daily routines.  I know this is not good for my skin but I am happy with my current routine and it's going to have to take something pretty amazing to change it now!

I always use a micellar water to take my makeup off.  The one I am currently loving is the Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water as I find this one is the best value for money and it works really well, as mentioned in my April Favourites.
I am a huge fan of double cleansing and it is something I have always done. After I have taken my makeup off,  I use the Soap and Glory Peaches and Clean Cleanser to remove any dirt or makeup that is left on my skin.
After cleansing comes toning and I use the Lush Tea Tree Water Toner.  This has tea tree oil in it which is an antiseptic so it kills any bacteria and helps to keep your skin clear.
For moisturisers, I use the Benefit Facial Emulsion Moisturiser because it is light and not greasy on my oily skin.
A step I never miss is eye cream. I use the Benefit It's Potent Eye Cream. It moisturises my eye area and helps to fade my dark circles.
Last but not least, the mask I have been using is the Soap and Glory No Clogs Allowed.  I have a whole review on it here and it is my favourite at the moment!

I apologise for the lack of posts recently, I have had my Science GCSE's and have been revising solidly for about 2 weeks now but the last one is on Monday so I will go back to regular posts!

The Bare Minimum

Some days we all lack motivation and just can't be bothered with makeup so I have put together a very basic 'no-makeup makeup' look that is perfect for school, sick days or days when you just can't be bothered but have to look somewhat presentable!

Not to prime is a crime so I like to start with the Benefit Porefessional primer to even out my skin and help my makeup last.
For a base, use a light foundation or maybe a bb cream or tinted moisturiser.  I went for my Bourjois Healthy Mix Foundation because it is my holy grail foundation and gives a light, flawless and radiant look.
If you need a little bit more coverage, use concealer. I use the Collection Lasting Perfection as it is amazing for covering dark circles and blemishes without caking up and it has amazing lasting power.
To keep your makeup in place set it with a translucent powder. I use the Rimmel Stay Matte just down my t-zone so I can set my makeup but still keep that glow on the cheeks.
Onto eyes, I just use mascara and nude eyeliner. I use the Rimmel Lash Accelerator as it gives a lot of length and looks really natural and also encourages your lashes to grow.  Nude eyeliner is a step I never skip as it makes your eyes look so bright and awake and really makes a huge difference.  My favourite is the Rimmel Scandaleyes Waterproof Nude Pencil and I have used this every single day since I got it.
For lips, I went for something very wearable and subtle. I chose Mac Peach Blossom which is a very wearable peachy nude and has been mentioned a lot on my blog as it is my current favourite lipstick!

What are your must haves for a no-makeup makeup look?

Friday Fashion Favourites #2 - Jelly Shoes ❤

You either love these, or you hate them and I for one love them!

Everyone seems to have gone mad for Jelly shoes lately and I think they add a very beachy/summery feel to any outfit.  I find them really easy to dress up or down and I think they are quite cool!

I have a pink pair and a white pair from Peacocks and they are only £10 each!  I have really been enjoying wearing these for the past week and I think I may try and hunt down some more colours.  I have seen a black, a mint green and a red on ebay so I think I may look into buying those.

The only bad thing about these shoes is that they are extremely uncomfortable and the plastic rubs your feet and causes quite a few blisters but it's nothing a plaster can't fix, my feet are currently covered in them!

What do you think of Jelly shoes?

Revision Tips #1 ❤

This is something I have always struggled with and I have been trying really hard to make an effort to make it easier and more useful as I am currently revising for my GCSE's.  I have picked up a few little tips and tricks so I thought I would share them with you and hope that they will help you!

  • It has been proven that by writing information down, helps you to remember and understand it much more easily.  I can honestly say this definitely works and it has really helped me with subjects such as Science and History which require you to remember a lot of information.
  • Highlight key words.  Whether it be names, dates, terms or any small pieces of information, it is easier to remember if they have been highlighted because it catches your eye and is more likely to sink in.  This also allows you to find information more quickly.
  • Sit in a quiet room.  Music and voices can confuse you and distract you so be sure to be in a peaceful space with little interruption so you can really concentrate and keep your focus on your revision.
  • Split your revision into sections.  Organise yourself and make sure you to small amounts at a time.  This way you have more time to digest the information and you will have a better chance of remembering it.  Don't spend too long at a time revising because you are likely to get bored and lose concentration so you won't be getting the most out of your revision.  I like to do little and often.
  • Go post it note crazy! Write key definitions or small notes too sticky notes and stick them where you are most likely to see them, whether it be on your mirror, bedside cabinet doors, wherever! This way you are taking in information without realising it and this is a really good way to learn names, dates and definitions.
  • Make up mnemonics and diagrams.  Make up little rhymes and phrases to help you remember the order of things or stages in which things occur.  For example, Richard Of York Gave Battle In Vain is a good way of remembering the visible light spectrum in Physics! Also, making up and drawing your own little diagrams helps a lot because it is individual to you and you are more likely to understand it than one that has already been done for you.
Do you have any useful revision tips?

If you find this useful, do let me know as I will be doing more posts like this as I pick up new tips and ideas and I think they would be useful for those of you have a lot of upcoming exams like myself!

Mini Mac Haul! ❤

I was contemplating doing a 30 day spending ban as there are a few expensive things that I want and need to save up for and I also want to use up some products that I have already got instead of buying loads of new ones and having several on the go all at once, but then Mac came along and this happened.......

I got the Studio Sculpt SPF 15 Foundation in the shade nc15 as a friend of mine recommended this to me.  On first impressions, it seems quite thick and cakey so I think I need to experiment with different ways of applying it and see which way works best.
I also got the Pro-preffered white SPF 15 Matte foundation.  I have never seen this before, but I thought it would be perfect for travel.  There are 2 sections, the top one has a pressed powder and a mirror and then the bottom one has a loose powder, a mirror and a powder puff.  On first impressions, it gives a lot of extra coverage and made my skin look flawless, however, it doesn't seem to last very long and within about an hour, my face was starting to get stick and oily so I think I would have to touch up a lot!
Last but not least, I got a Cremesheen Glass in the shade Richer, Lusher which is like a peachy coral colour and I thought it would be perfect for Spring and Summer.  On first impressions, they have great colour payoff, are very glossy and have good lasting power!

If you have any questions or requests, be sure to leave a comment or tweet me and don't forget to follow me on Instagram and like my Facebook Page!

My Top 5 Spring Lippies ❤

I have recently become something of a lipstick junkie and it's becoming a real problem so I thought I'd share with you my Spring staples and the lipsticks/glosses that I've been reaching for constantly!

Top to bottom:- Mac Peach Blossom, Mac Cremesheen Glass in Richer Lusher, Mac Creme Cup, Nars Turkish Delight Lipgloss, Mac Coral Bliss.

I have a lot of love for mac lipsticks and I am always looking for nudes and pastels for the Spring months.  My current favourite lipstick Peach Blossom is the perfect peachy nude for all year round but especially for Spring.  As mentioned in my April Favourites, it gives a nice glossy peachy finish to the lips and would look good on pretty much anyone! My second favourite lipstick of all time is Creme Cup which is the perfect pastel pink shade and doesn't wash me out because I'm ridiculously pale! It's not too bright or in your face, it just gives a subtle wash of colour to the lips and will look pretty on anyone.  The last Mac lipstick is Coral Bliss which is a brighter option.  It is a gorgeous coral colour that is bright without being really in your face and would look stunning paired with a glowy coral cheek.  It is the perfect coral colour for me and I find it very easy to wear .

For glosses, the Mac Cremesheen Glass in the shade Richer, Lusher is the perfect orange lipgloss.  It's  perfect for those who want to follow the orange lip trend but don't want traffic cone lips! It is a borderline coral so is not bright orange and because it's a gloss, it is a lot sheerer than a lipstick and is definitely a lot more wearable.  One of my all time favourite lip glosses, Nars Turkish Delight is the perfect baby pink gloss that can be worn on its own or paired with a pink/nude lipstick.  I like to pair it with Mac Creme Cup or on it's own if I'm feeling lazy or don't want to wear a lot of makeup.

What are your favourite Spring Lippies? Any recommendations?

Soap and Glory No Clogs Allowed ❤

I mentioned this face mask in my last 'products I'm trying out' and I thought I'd give you a full review as this is a product that has a lot of mixed reviews, some people swear by it, some people loathe it.

The Soap and Glory No Clogs Allowed claims to clear out pores and deep clean the skin with a new pore clear technology.  It also says it works best for people with oily, combination skin.

You get a decent sized tube and a good amount of product for your money.  The tube is a little fragile in my opinion and it seems as though it could easily be punctured or broken.

I use this mask once a week after cleansing.  It does heat up quite a lot and stings a bit which as weird as it sounds, I like because it makes me feel like its doing a good job and my skin is being thoroughly cleaned.  It has a sort of a foamy texture and it's quite thick.

As far as results go, I don't think this products works miracles and I don't think it has changed my life.  However, I have noticed a difference in my skin, it seems to be clearer and is less oily for a few days after I have used this mask which makes life a lot easier when it comes to keeping makeup on!

I do like this mask and will continue to use this but I wouldn't say its a must have product and I'm unsure whether I will be repurchasing this as I feel its a little bit pricey.

What are your thoughts on this mask?

If you have any questions or requests, be sure to leave a comment or tweet me and don't forget to follow me on Instagram and like my Facebook page!

April Favourites! ❤

Where the hell did April go?! I haven't been blogging as much recently because I have my GCSE's in about a week or so, so I have been working hard revising and I have had a lot of work to catch up on because I missed a lot of time before easter when I was ill! There should be at least one post up a week for the next month or so and hopefully I will be able to return to daily blogging very soon!! Enough of the rambling, time to show you what I have been loving this month!!

For makeup, I have been trying a lot of new things for Spring this month and I have found myself reaching for these products one hell of a lot!

The first products are the Barry M Gelly Polishes.  I have the shades papaya, rose hip, dragon and pomegranate.  These are definitely worth the hype! They have amazing lasting power, great formula, they are easy to apply and they have such a nice, shiny, gel-like finish and they look stunning! These are by far my most used nail polishes at the moment and I'm definitely going to get some more of the brighter summery colours soon.  They are super affordable at £3.99 each and they are also on 3 for 2 in Boots and Superdrug!
The next thing is the Rimmel Lash Accelerator Mascara.  This is a mascara that I have been wanting to try for ages and never bought but I finally got around to buying it and I'm so glad I did! I was quite skeptical because I have never seen a mascara that makes your lashes grow and I didn't think it would work, but how wrong was I! I have noticed a huge difference in my lashes, they are definitely longer and thicker and seem to be much healthier and they don't fall out as much as they used to! It gives your lashes the perfect balance of volume and length and you can build it up to make it look more dramatic.  The only downside is that it smudges under my eyes so I only use it on my top lashes and stick to my Clinique bottom lash mascara for the bottom.
The next thing is Benefit High Beam Highlighter.  I have had this for ages and never really used it until Spring came along and I decided to try it as I was after a dewy glow and was keen to use a cream/liquid product rather than a powder.  This gives me a very natural glow without being too shiny or glittery and I am really impressed with it.  I find the best way to apply it is with fingers as I find the brush puts way too much product on! It blends in really easily and I think it is almost as good as Mac's Soft and Gentle which I swear by.
I actually thought I was going to hate the Daniel Sandler Watercolour Fluid Blusher but I was pleasantly surprised.  It is really easy to apply with the Mac 187 stippling brush and looks surprisingly natural.  I have the shade cherub which is like a baby pink sort of colour with a small amount of shimmer running through it.  They are a stain so they stay in place all day and blend really well.  They are really easy to wear which surprised me as they are so pigmented but I think this is definitely something I would repurchase and I am keen to try some more colours!
My new favourite lipstick is Mac's Peach Blossom. I have worn this everyday since I got it right at the beginning of the month and this is the most perfect nude for me.  It's a creme sheen formula so it has good pigmentation and is very glossy.  This lipstick is perfect for all year round and I think I will definitely be repurchasing as it is definitely a holy grail product for me!

For skincare, I have really been loving the Soap and Glory Peaches and Clean Cleanser.  It smells amazing and it really gets all the dirt and makeup out of my pores and makes my skin feel so fresh and clean.  It's not stripping and doesn't make my skin feel dry or tight which is definitely what I look for in a cleanser!
I have also been loving the Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water.  It is amazing at removing my makeup and is so gentle on my skin and especially my eyes.  I would definitely choose this over makeup wipes and I think I will definitely be repurchasing this over and over again!

For tools, I have been absolutely in love with the Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge.  I have a whole post on it here and it's my new holy grail beauty tool!
I have also been loving the eyeko lash curlers.  I have never really got on with eyelash curlers, until I found these and now I will never leave the house without curling my eyelashes! They curl them without crimping them and make me look much more wide-eyed and awake!

For TV, it has definitely got to be once upon a time! I can't believe I haven't discovered this before and I'm addicted, I have watched both seasons (22 40min episodes long) within a week and a half! If you haven't watched this before, its on love film and I seriously recommend it!

For music, I have been loving blinkbox.  It's an app that allows you to listen to your favourite music  and you can create your own radio stations! It is run by Tesco and is available for free on the app store.

For YouTube, I have been constantly watching Georgia Marie.  She is such a nice girl and her videos are amazing! Definitely check her out and subscribe! I have also been watching itsjudyslife.  Her daily vlogs are so sweet and she has such a lovely family, definitely check her out and subscribe!!

I had one hell of a lot of favourites this month!!

What have you been loving throughout April?
