In fact, taking the plunge into something new made 2020 such a big year for me and one little moment of boredom has led to something amazing.</div><div><br /></div><div>Let's rewind to April 2020.......</div><div><br /></div><div>I'm working full time from home and other than working I have nothing to occupy myself with. College is on hold as they had not prepared for the pandemic and I am stuck in my house. One morning, I was up waiting for 9am to come around and I was mindlessly scrolling through social media as one does when there is nothing better to do. I came across an ad for the Body Shop at Home. I had seen this before and I had always been tempting but never thought I had the time to do it. As I was stuck in my house with nothing better to do I decided to put in an enquiry. I then got working and completely forgot all about it. </div><div><br /></div><div>I got a text in the evening from Rachael, who is now my manager and is a Diamond President with the Body Shop at Home. She is an amazing leader and mentor and she text me to touch base following my enquiry. After some conversation, she added me into a facebook group so I could watch a video on how the business worked and I was sold immediately.</div><div><br /></div><div>I ordered my kit, as pictured below and I was away. I set up my little facebook group and started adding my friends and family in. To be honest, I joined for the kit as it was only £49.00 and worth £225.00 and to get some discount on things for myself.<br /><br /> <img alt="" id="id_f2d_a40a_88fb_449" src="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/--oJnw_i2XL-tTnfbR2Zt_YY925QNc9Vsrxbl85vr5b0BX0r457jxnvYVTbjM-s" style="height: auto; width: 392px;" title="" tooltip="" /><br />The kit was amazing and I got to try so many new products and share them with my little group. Slowly, orders started coming in and I was cashing in 25% of all of those orders which was becoming a nice little earner. I never intended to do more than just sell some products for some extra money but as I got into the swing of things I got more and more into it. It was something to help me pass the time and gave me something to distract myself from the mess of the world.</div><div><br /></div><div>In May, I managed to sell £1,700.00 worth of products which was absolutely crazy for me, and I bagged myself £675.00 in commission plus bonuses. I also gained over £500.00 worth of freebies in my first month and the freebies kept coming. I then started having people want to join the Body Shop at Home as they had seen how much fun I was having and that it could be a nice little side hustle to earn some extra money.</div><div><br /></div><div>Fast forward to today, and I have 10 team members and I am almost an Area Manager which will see me earn a monthly wage on top of my commission which is going to be amazing as I start saving for the future (house deposits are ridiculous nowadays and I want to move out before I am 40 lol).</div><div><br /></div><div>So what does the role involve?</div><div><br /></div><div>- Testing and playing with lots of amazing products - this is my favourite bit as you all know I love testing out new products and having a play!</div><div><br /></div><div>- Producing Social Media Content - I was familiar with this anyway as I have always been on and off blogging and very active on Instagram. I have a private Facebook Group as well as an Instagram specifically dedicated to my business, however you can run it however you like. I post on my personal socials too so it's entirely up to you how you run it.</div><div><br /></div><div>- Process orders - the Body Shop at Home website is so easy to use. You can direct ship straight to your customers or have them all delivered to you and deliver yourself. I am direct shipping where possible at the moment due to the pandemic!</div><div><br /></div><div>- Lots of Free products - I get loads of freebies just from making sales and I now have drawers and drawers of goodies! We get rewarded every month with freebies and orders of a certain amount will get you free spends AND 70% off your own products.</div><div><br /></div><div>- 25%-30% commission - this is on all sales, including those things you buy for yourself. It is a standard rate of 25% commission and this can then be topped up with bonuses once you hit a certain level.</div><div><br /></div><div>- Career Plan - There is a career plan to climb if you wish and you can make the a full time job.</div><div><br /></div><div>It is honestly the best thing I ever did, not only having something to do which I love but also having that little bit of extra money to help with saving and also for some treats every now and again! I work full time and I am also studying to be a solicitor at the same time so it is very flexible and you can just work it around whatever you do, when it suits you. You get out what you put in so the more work you do, the more rewards you are going to see.</div><div><br /></div><div>If this sounds like something you would be interested in, I would love to mentor and help you get on your way to having loads of fun playing with new products and earning some extra money too. If you would like some further information, please email me on emily.rowles@hotmail.co.uk or DM me on one of my socials which are linked at the top of my blog.</div><div><br /></div><div>If you want to get signed up straight away then you can do so <a href="https://www.thebodyshopathome.com/WebPWS/EmilyRowles">here</a>.</div><div><br /></div><div>We have loads of amazing facebook groups to help you with content ideas and getting you off the ground so you will have support from myself and my amazing team every step of the way.</div><div><br /></div><div>I'd love to welcome some of you to my team and to help you make the most of the time stuck in the house.</div><div><br /></div><div>Emily xx<br /><br /> </div>Emily Rowleshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16783715088615366484noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7751910061904363825.post-17511279558107793602020-12-05T13:07:00.001+00:002020-12-05T13:07:29.314+00:00My Top 5 Body Shop Products | B E A U T Y <img height="640" id="id_6a3f_687f_9ed_e39f" src="https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/mhH8zgM5SAhyryGEjXAP0a1PzFZvsxJCoqKJBtZqmRzjFYG4sAye1SlUsW6LEyI=w480-h640" style="height: auto; width: 392px;" tooltip="" width="480" /><div><br /></div><div>If you follow me on social media you will know that I have been a Body Shop at Home Consultant since the end of April this year. This means that I earn money from promoting and selling products from the Body Shop all from the comfort of my own home! </div><div><br /></div><div>I will be doing a post all about my job with the Body Shop and how you can also get involved, however today I am talking about my Top 5 Products out of the many that I have tried from The Body Shop (trust when I say I have tried ALOT).<br /><br /> <img alt="" id="id_ca88_5217_12db_dfba" src="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/Gi8mWpn0BiDG8OTrtmZfwox9aVPBFKTv99sqZcN09L2MTnXjxeYROtpjX2265mw" style="height: auto; width: 392px;" title="" tooltip="" /></div><div><br /></div><div>First on my list is the <a href="https://www.facebook.com/groups/931255857312458" target="_blank">Himalayan Charcoal Purifying Glow Mask</a>. This mask aims to draw out impurities and excess oils from the skin as well as exfoliating the skin to leave a clean and fresh glow. This mask also contains tea tree oil which is perfect if you suffer from breakouts and the charcoal helps to clear clogged pores.</div><div><br /></div><div>I got this mask in my starter kit when I started at the Body Shop at Home and I have been through 3 of them. I use this mask twice a week and I can't be without it. It reduces the appearance of pores and keeps my skin clear whilst also giving it a lovely glow. It has been so handy with combatting maskne in recent months and my makeup applies so smoothly over the top.</div><div><br /></div><div>If you have oily skin and suffer from impurities then this is the mask for you, it has absolutely saved my skin over the past few months. This mask is £18 RRP but if purchased through me is just £16.00!<br /><br /> <img alt="" id="id_1fee_7f62_56a2_33db" src="https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/DteU4ZLzyM5IRoElO6BFYVvJrY_OAzeG9PaWVtdk1tgJl-ZJJAJdqgrCfTtyehU" style="height: auto; width: 392px;" title="" tooltip="" /></div><div><br /></div><div>Next up are the <a href="https://www.facebook.com/groups/931255857312458" target="_blank">Liquid Peels</a> which are essentially exfoliants but they are much more gentle than your traditional scrub exfoliant. These are much better if you have sensitive skin and I find that they are much more effective than a scrub. The Gel to peel formula when massaged into dry skin lifts away dead skin cells, dirt and impurities and bunches them up into little balls you can just wipe straight off. They make your skin feel so soft and supple and leave an amazing smooth glow.</div><div><br /></div><div>They come in 3 of our ranges so you can always fine one to suit your skin:</div><div><br /></div><div>- Drops of Youth - infused with 3 plant stem cells to help combat and prevent signs of ageing. Amazing for tired and dry skin.</div><div>- Vitamin C - to help provide dull skin with a healthy radiant glow.</div><div>- Drops of Light - helps to brighten and reduce discolouration.</div><div><br /></div><div>These come in 2 sizes, 145 ml which is RRP £18.50 but is £16.65 with me and the 100 ml which is RRP £16.00 and is £14.40 with me.</div><div><br /></div><div>This is a must have product for everyone and if you don't already have one then you absolutely need one!</div><div><br /><br /> <img alt="" id="id_4276_f458_8be5_beb6" src="https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/gwJtAY4WqSHp0DgaN33XhsySzUJctGWNbKgI0Y8yAZvRHdbdiSkaMhIWHu5oyfs" style="height: auto; width: 392px;" title="" tooltip="" /><br /><br />Moving onto makeup, I have been pleasantly surprised by the eyeshadow palettes that the Body Shop has to offer! I got these for free as a perk of being a consultant and if you have read my blog for a while you will know I love my high end eyeshadow palettes and I am very picky with formulas.</div><div><br /></div><div>These shadows are absolutely amazing and I haven't touched another palette since I got them. They're easy to build and blend and the pigmentation is insane. I have some pictures of the swatches and also some looks I have done on my <a href="https://www.instagram.com/beautynottestedonthebeast/">Instagram</a> and I have also done lots of videos using them in my <a href="https://www.facebook.com/groups/931255857312458" target="_blank">Facebook Group</a>.</div><div><br /></div><div>There are 3 palettes available:</div><div><br /></div><div>- 'Own your Naturals' - 12 neutral shades</div><div>- 'Paint in Colour' - 12 shades with a mix of neutrals and brights</div><div>- 'Bold as Nature' - 12 seasonal limited edition shades</div><div><br /></div><div>These palettes retail for £15.00 each but they are just £13.50 with me. A steal, right?<br /><br /><br /> <img alt="" id="id_6fca_6c99_b0be_83dc" src="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/nHHoIvwUWSmOruh66fuoCCP4ba-Eny2xilj4Cqeh3Wp45nKVNoBwqa4_nbKXHuA" style="height: auto; width: 392px;" title="" tooltip="" /><br /><br /> <img alt="" id="id_a068_3307_84ef_611a" src="https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/pEjPKvlEjQYzpRYJRhqb0YsDIPF-bPs_jz7CvIFHgnkpClAzHutX22xrBYbTTpI" style="height: auto; width: 392px;" title="" tooltip="" /></div><div>This product is THE best product from the Body Shop hands down! The <a href="https://www.facebook.com/groups/931255857312458" target="_blank">Camomile Cleansing Butter</a> is an absolute makeup destroyer and is perfect for all skin types, even sensitive. Ditch the makeup wipes and get yourself one of these because I promise you will become obsessed. This melts away even the toughest of makeup and impurities and leaves your skin squeaky clean. It also works for contact lens wearers!</div><div><br /></div><div>Just massage a 50p piece sized blob into dry skin and massage in and your makeup will wipe straight off! I will forever swear by this stuff and I go through them one after the other!</div><div><br /></div><div>These come in 2 sizes, a 90ml which retails for £11.00 and a 20ml travel size which retails for £5.00. Both of them are 10% off when ordered through me.</div><div><br /> <img alt="" id="id_9dcf_cb07_d9bb_3e6e" src="https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/TsJZ7jOVqPWdl8K0TZYwo66NhrGGKn4ZgCrz_4dzi8CZKVvbOEZDVrgUnxc8S_o" style="height: auto; width: 392px;" title="" tooltip="" /></div><div>Last but not least we have the Camomile Gentle Eye Makeup Remover. I got this in my starter kit when I started and I didn't really think I would enjoy it. As someone who wears very stubborn waterproof mascara, the word 'gentle' in the title does not seem like it is going to shift anything!</div><div><br /></div><div>I was so pleasantly surprised by this, in one sweep it gets rid of every last trace of eye makeup. I have eyelash extensions 90% of the time too so this is perfect at getting around them without ruining my lashes which I can't do with the cleansing butter.</div><div><br /></div><div>This retails for £7.50 but is of course discounted through me for just £6.75.</div><div><br /></div><div>That concludes my top 5 and if you would like to purchase any of the products mentioned or you would like a catalogue, please let me know! <div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
So it's been a little while since I posted anything on here (December 2018 to be exact) but what else is there to do when in quarantine?! I've resurrected the blog for a little while to keep myself busy during evenings and weekends when I'm not working in my day job or my other new exciting adventure.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I'm bringing it back with something that everyone is going mad over at the moment for obvious reasons - loungewear. Femme Luxe were kind enough to gift me some pieces from their <a href="https://femmeluxefinery.co.uk/collections/loungewear-sets%E2%80%8B">loungewear collection</a> to try and I can confirm I have literally lived in these since they were delivered a few weeks ago.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<br />
<br />
<br />
This one above is the <a href="https://femmeluxefinery.co.uk/collections/cream-loungewear-sets">Harlee Tulle Mesh Cream Loungewear Set</a>. This one is so boujie I love it, it's loungewear but it looks so dressed up as well. This one is made from a very thin knit and I definitely think you could wear the top with some leather leggings to dress it up because it looks so smart. The only thing I would say with this set is that the leggings are a little see-through so I probably wouldn't wear them out of the house but this one is perfect for lazing around in and also perfect for the gram. You can also get this set in black if that's more your style.<br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/RlGvMY7y79gjkFVdfDw_HuM5D6HXz12XhvPCT1cFLUrfd1uAH7NHSKwloeqz2UQ" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img alt="" border="0" height="640" id="id_b525_d0c0_96e1_fa73" src="https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/RlGvMY7y79gjkFVdfDw_HuM5D6HXz12XhvPCT1cFLUrfd1uAH7NHSKwloeqz2UQ" title="" tooltip="" width="521" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
This set is <a href="https://femmeluxefinery.co.uk/collections/belted-loungewear-sets">Asia Ribbed Belted Loungewear Set</a> in the colour 'Sage'. I already had this set but in black and I can confirm I have lived and died in it so when I saw that they had it in loads of other colours I knew I needed. I chose this colour as I have a bag very similar to it from Primark and I have been trying to get an outfit to match for ages. This will forever be one of my favourite sets from Femme Luxe, it's so comfy and so flattering and there is a colour to suit everyones taste! I get so many compliments on this set (even though Lewis says I look like Yoda). If you are going to get one set from this post, then this is the one you need. I put a pic on my insta story a few weeks back and 4 people messaged me asking for the link!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<br />
Finally we have the <a href="https://femmeluxefinery.co.uk/collections/cropped-loungewear-sets">Ella Dusky Pink High Neck Set</a> which is quite thick and knitted and perfect for the winter time. I absolutely love anything pink and a pink set was the one thing that was lacking from my loungewear collection. I have to say that this one is great if you have a very cold house because I know that when I am working from home I am literally freezing all day long regardless of the outside temperature. This set with my fluffy slippers is the absolute dream. This one fits really nicely and is also nice and stretchy if you're a bit chunkier (like me). There is plenty of room in this for some excessive quarantine snacking.<br />
<br />
I have literally worn these constantly on rotation for the past few weeks and I will happily be purchasing some more (especially Asia in every single colour) over the course of the lockdown.<br />
<br />
If you have any other loungewear recommendations then please let me know because I always need more especially with everything going on at the moment.<br />

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
You may have seen from my instastories that I am now a glossy box subscriber and a very proud one too. I signed up last month after I saw that they were putting a Huda Beauty liquid lipstick in the November box. The membership is £10 a month plus about £3 packaging and the value of the products are sooooo much higher than this. You can subscribe to Glossybox <a href="https://www.glossybox.co.uk/referrals.list?applyCode=EMILY-R1DD">here</a>, I would highly recommend it if you love trying out loads of different beauty bits. You can also do surveys on the products in your box which earn you money to be able to spend on Look Fantastic! After reviewing everything in my November box, I had £2.90 to spend on Look Fantastic and it only took me 10 minutes. If you did those over a good few months you would be able to treat yourself to something amazing. Now onto the actual contents of the 'All That Glitters' Christmas Box....</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<b><a href="https://www.lookfantastic.com/bellapierre-cosmetics-shimmer-roll-2g-champagne/11638554.html">Bellápierre Cosmetics Shimmer Roll</a> - £7.99</b></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
This is a roll on highlighter and is very highly pigmented as you can see above. I haven't used this on my face yet but I have used it on my inner corners and it is stunning. It is essentially just a pigment in a roller ball and you can use it wherever. It is also formulated with all natural ingredients so I assume it is vegan and is also kind to your skin without any chemicals!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<b><a href="https://www.doucce.com/product/lips/relentless-matte-crayon/">Doucce Relentless Matte Lip Crayon</a> - £17.30</b></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I am so in love with this lip colour, I have worn it all weekend since my box arrived yesterday and I am obsessed! This formula is very similar to the Nars Matte lip pencils. The pigment is insane, it glides on smoothly and is also so comfortable to wear. The shade is perfect for this time of year and I can see myself getting so much use out of this</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<b><a href="https://www.glossybox.co.uk/niko-pro-jelly-blush/11727021.html">Niko Pro Liquid Jelly Blusher</a> - £5.00</b></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I'm not normally a cream blush kind of gal but on first impressions, this is actually really nice. It's in the shade 'Bali' and is very similar to Nars 'Orgasm'. It's a pink/peach shade with gold shimmer throughout and it is so pretty and dewy. I think I will get a lot of use out of this when I am in Mauritius in January because I can literally just throw it on.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<b><a href="https://www.boots.com/imperial-leather-cosmic-unicorn-shower-gel-250ml-10252565">Imperial Leather Cosmic Unicorn Limited Edition Shower Gel</a> - £1.00</b></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Everyone loves a good shower gel so I was so pleased to see this inside as I know I will obviously get use out of it. Plus it is sparkly and has unicorns all over it so what's not to love. Imperial Leather are a great brand and I have used their stuff for years so I have no doubts that I will get on well with this.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<b><a href="https://vitamasques.com/products/cosmic-pink-ruby-glitter-peel-off-mask">Vitamasques Cosmic Pink Ruby Glitter Peel Off Mask</a> - £3.99</b></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
This is the prettiest mask ever, its literally barbie pink with gold glitter. I used it last night and whilst it was extremely painful to peel off because it stuck to my peach fuzz (long overdue a derma plane), my skin felt amazing after. It has rosehip oil which is amazing for your skin in as well as hints of ruby and diamonds according to the website! This would make an amazing stocking filler so I highly recommend this for some extra af pampering.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<b><a href="https://maybeauty.co.uk/pore-strip/">May Beauty Pore Strip</a> - £17.00</b></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I haven't had a chance to use this yet but I can always use a good pore strip. The satisfaction of ripping them off and seeng the results is unbeatable. I think this little pack contains a single strip but the price above is for the pack of 12 so you can see that they are fairly pricey. If they are amazing then I'll let you know! They are extremely expensive so I am excited to see if they are actually worth the money.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
That is the end of this months Glossy Box unboxing, if you like this kind of thing then I will definitely keep doing these. Do you think Glossy Box is worth the hype?</div>

<br />
<br />
I wanted to do a monthly favourites but to be fair, I have bought so many things in the past month or so I haven't really had chance to give them all a good go and be able to pick out favourites. I thought it would be much more fitting to give you a brief little review on all of my new in bits and bobs and who knows, they may potentially end up in a favourites post in the future. Annoyingly, I don't have any swatches of the products mentioned however they are all linked so you can have a good look at them on the website.<br />
<br />
Starting with makeup, the world and it's mother has been trying the new <a href="https://www.revolutionbeauty.com/en/Revolution-Conceal-and-Define-Full-Coverage-Foundation-F6/m-6708.aspx">Revolution Conceal and Define Full Coverage Foundation</a>. I have mine in the shade F6 which is a little light for me when I am fake tanned, it is a better shade for when my tan is almost worn off but not quite when I'm at my palest. This foundation isn't playing around, the coverage is intenseeeeee. I like the applicator, it makes it so easy to apply and also minimise waste. I find with foundations that need to be squeezed out onto my hand always seem to have a lot of wastage whereas with this you can apply the right amount straight away. It is basically like a giant version of the concealer, the formula is very similar and the applicator is almost identical. I would say that this foundation was not one for dry skin, I find it clings a little to any dry patches and it also dries quite matte. I would say it is ideal for oily skin as this foundation completely stays put. In conjunction with this foundation, I also have the <a href="https://www.revolutionbeauty.com/en/Revolution-Conceal-and-Define-Supersize-Concealer-C2/m-6719.aspx">Revolution Conceal and Define Supersize Concealer</a>. This has been a firm favourite of mine for a long time and I have repurchased this about 4 times. I am so glad they finally have a giant one, I went through the small ones soon quickly so this is a god send.<br />
<br />
Sticking with face, I have recently been obsessed with the <a href="https://www.revolutionbeauty.com/en/Revolution-X-Imogenation-Highlight-To-The-Moon/m-6673.aspx">Revolution X Imogenaion Highlight to the Moon Palette</a> and I have been using the banana shade called 'My Gyal' to carve out my contour but I have hit pan and to my knowledge these shades aren't sold separately. I needed a replacement and thought I would give the <a href="https://www.revolutionbeauty.com/en/Revolution-Luxury-Banana-Baking-Powder/m-2081.aspx">Revolution Luxury Banana Baking Powder</a> a whirl. I have only been using this for about a week but I do really like this. I find translucent powders are too light for under my contour, especially when I'm fake tanned which I am 99.9% of the time. The formula of this is really great, it glides on smoothly with my beauty blender and blends away like a dream. I don't find it looks cakey on the skin at all and if you have a yellow toned complexion you could definitely get away with it as an all-over face powder. If you are paler, Revolution do a few other loose powders that may be a bit better suited to you. Just a little fun fact, this product was actually shortlisted for the 2017 Pure Beauty Awards.<br />
<br />
Another addition to my collection is the <a href="https://www.prettylittlething.com/doll-beauty-pretty-little-glow-exclusive-highlighter.html">Doll Beauty Pretty Little Glow Highlight</a>. When I went to London, I treated myself to the Doll Beauty Highlight in 'Like a Diamond' and I instantly fell in love with it. The formula is insane, the pigmentation is beyond words and the glow you get is just stunning. I thought I would try another one from their range and this particular one is exclusive to pretty little thing and is the perfect rose gold shade. I wouldn't recommend this if you are really pale but if you have a medium to dark skin tone then this would be beautiful on you. I can really only use this when I am fake tanned and it looks stunning on your collar bones and shoulders too. I also love this as a subtle blush topper as it has that pinky undertone. I can see doll beauty highlights becoming a holy grail product and I keep finding myself mooching through the website and making wish lists.<br />
<br />
Onto eyes, I treated myself to the <a href="https://www.fabulousmakeup.co.uk/buy-online/makeup/eyes/loose-eyeshadows/gatsby">Peaches and Cream Loose Eyeshadow Pigment in 'Gatsby'</a>. I haven't swatched this as I am currently creating a little look book using this pigment to show how stunning it is and the variety of ways that you can wear this. The formula of these are so beautiful, they're buttery soft and require just the tiniest amount of product to achieve the desired effect. My friend Charleigh who is a makeup artist has used this pigment on me so many times and she absolutely loves it so I had to have it in my collection too. Peaches and Cream are such an affordable brand and I used to have their lashes in my kit when I was freelancing, I would highly recommend any of their products and they are also now available on Pretty Little Thing. Next on my list to try is their glosses as Charleigh also swears by these.<br />
<br />
I also got the <a href="https://www.plouise.co.uk/product/p-louise-base-shade-0-5/">P.Louise Base Shade 0.5</a> which is a firm favourite amongst so many people. I haven't really had the chance to have a proper play with this yet but I will keep you updated and let you know my verdict once I have given it a proper go.<br />
<br />
Finally for makeup, I completely ran out of liquid eyeliner so I thought I would give the <a href="https://www.revolutionbeauty.com/en/Revolution-Renaissance-Flick/m-6490.aspx">Revolution Renaissance Flick Eyeliner</a> a go. I again haven't really had a chance to give this a proper go but I have played with it and I find it is so easy to use due to the shape of the pen and the thin and flexible nib. In regards to formulation, I can tell you it is jet black and dries down very matte but I haven't really had much of an opportunity to test the longevity and wear of it. Only time will tell but I have a good feeling about this product.<br />
<br />
Lastly I have a little bit of skincare from <a href="http://i.refs.cc/d0m3nDbV?u=1541269217094">Pixi Beauty</a>. <a href="https://www.blogger.com/=http://i.refs.cc/d0m3nDbV?u=1541269217094">Pixi</a> is a brand I have been dying to try for a while and when I was in London, I went into the shop on Carnaby Street. I bought a little set of minis for travelling and my skin seemed to really like the products. They then launched in Boots at the beginning of October and they had some introductory offers so I thought I would expand my little collection. I was running low on fix plus so I thought I would give the <a href="http://i.refs.cc/d0m3nDbV?u=1541269898876">Makeup Fixing Mist</a> a go. It is quite a strong mist so you have to be a bit careful it doesn't squirt everywhere and drench your face. I haven't paid much attention to the longevity of my makeup but I need to experiment with it a little bit more to be able to give you a final verdict. I also picked up the <a href="http://i.refs.cc/d0m3nDbV?u=1541269898876">Glow Tonic</a> which was in my little minis set and my skin seemed to love it so I thought I would try the full size. This is a cult favourite in the beauty community and it has definitely not disappointed me, my skin has never been so clear and radiant and the only thing I have changed in my routine is this! I would highly recommend this, and the links I have used in this post get you £5 off the Pixi website for if you fancy treating yourself. They have some lovely Christmas sets so you can treat someone special for a little bit less!<br />
<br />
This post is very Revolution heavy as they have just been killing the makeup game recently but I can assure you there are no affiliate links or sponsors in this post.<br />
<br />
What bits have you added to your collection this month? I need inspiration for my Christmas list!<br />

<br />
If any of you follow me on Social Media, you will know that I was recently lucky enough to have a little trip to London and visit the most beautiful jewellery shop ever, Astrid and Miyu. Astrid and Miyu are a Jewellery company and their main store is situated in St Christopher's Place which is just off Oxford Street. They specialise in very classy and elegant jewellery which is right up my street and some of their piece are simply beautiful. As a plus, their prices are brilliant too with high quality and beautiful accessories starting from as little as £20.00. I had seen Lydia Elise Millen model some of their pieces and she spoke about her experience with their piercing station so I knew I had to go!<br />
<br />
The shop is absolutely beautiful as you can see from the photos and they have a piercing station downstairs. They offer a wide variety of ear piercings and they also give you 20% off their earrings when you get pierced. I have included some of the little diagrams they have on their site which explains what types of piercings they do and what each one is known as. I had only intended to go there for a look and maybe buy some jewellery or pick out some pieces to put on my christmas list but I left with a new piercing and earrings and Meg also left with a piercing.<br />
<br />
When we got there, Meg had decided she wanted her conch pierced. I obviously didn't want to be left out and decided I wanted a piercing too and after much deliberation I opted for my helix. I went first and I am a bit of a baby and threw up and fainted when I got my belly button pierced and I was pretty much expecting the same thing to happen again. We chose our earrings and went down to the very pretty piercing station which I didn't manage to get a photo of but you can see a snippet of it in Lydia's Vlog <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2yWTAtmg6Tg&t=1254s">here</a>. The lady who pierced me was so lovely and was so good at it, she really made me feel very comfortable and talked me through things as she was going so that I knew what to expect. She did the usual little dot and made sure I was happy with the positioning of it and then used a cannula needle to pierce it and it was all done and dusted in less than a minute. I'm not sure I have a very high pain threshold but I would definitely say that it hurt but it was definitely worth it and it was by no means unbearable. She then popped the little rose gold hoop in that I had chosen and then that was it! Of course afterwards I did feel a little bit funny and may or may not have thrown up (luckily made it to the toilet this time unlike when I had my belly button pierced many moons ago) but after that I was right as rain. The staff in there were absolutely amazing and we spent so long talking to them all in there. They were such lovely ladies and were so patient and helpful it made the whole experience even more amazing than it already was. Then it was Meg's turn and she opted for a little stud which is sooooo pretty. She was absolutely fine and felt no pain at all, as you can see she has plenty of ear piercings so it didn't bother her in the slightest.<br />
<br />
Once I had pulled myself together and had a few fruit pastels that the lovely ladies went and got for me whilst I was there, it was time for photos and earring shopping. I had so much fun browsing around and picking pieces out, I could have easily spent a day in there trying and buying. After much deliberation I decided to go for the <a href="https://click.linksynergy.com/fs-bin/click?id=c42FbzIkrw4&offerid=420920.10&type=3&subid=0">Venus Earrings in Rose Gold</a>. I have worn them every day since and I am in love, they are so elegant and classy and just compliment my style perfectly. Of course I made sure to go with Rose gold so that they would match my new addition and I am now looking into getting some rose gold studs for when I want something small and simple. I literally want everything on the website their pieces are so beautiful. If you are in London at any point I would highly recommend going in for a browse or even just looking at their website if you are in the market for some new bling. I will keep you updated on the healing process but at the moment all seems to be going well, it's not painful at all and seems to be healing nicely despite the fact that I am lazy and don't clean it as often as I should (they recommend twice a day and it is now a week on and I have cleaned it twice lol).<br />
<br />
Have you bought anything from this brand before? I would love to know your favourite pieces!<br />
<br />

<br />
This has to be by far the most insta-worthy shop and café I have ever seen in my whole 19 year existence. I went to London a few weeks ago to see Britney at the O2 and stopped for a spot of shopping whilst I was there. I had seen this shop a thousand times on Instagram and so this was first on my list of places I knew I <i>needed</i> to go.<br />
<br />
I didn't buy too much when I was there, we sat and had the nicest latte with almond milk and admired the amazing café and watched some makeup tutorials on their big screen. We of course took plenty of pictures. There are some more on my Instagram and Chloe has some on hers too we just couldn't stop! Everything was so pretty and picturesque I just took photos of every angle. I did pick up a few brushes, I picked up the AO4 for contouring and the BO8 for highlighting as I have lost my Morphe M501 :(. Of course, I got them both in the marble and rose gold set.<br />
<br />
When I got to the till, they said if you follow them on Instagram and/or tag them in an instastory you could pick a free brush. Obviously I follow them on Instagram and by that point we had been to the café so of course my instastory was filled already. I had a few small ones to choose from so I opted for the BO3 for concealer. I have used all 3 at this point and they did not disappoint. Spectrum brushes are so high quality and are also soooooo pretty. Their designs are amazing and their sets are perfection. I will be definitely buying plenty more and I will also be in London again this weekend so of course will be taking another trip.<br />
<br />
If you want to have a look at the Spectrum website, you can sign up <a href="https://www.spectrumcollections.com/?smile_referral_code=9A9HbNyb&st_intent=st%3Areferrals%3Acustomer-offers%3A9A9HbNyb&utm_campaign=smileio_referrals&utm_medium=referral_url">here</a> so you will get a nice little discount! Also, if you are a student they offer 15% off which is insane!<br />
<br />
Let me know if you pick anything up, happy shopping! What are your favourite Spectrum Brushes?<br />

<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
As someone who works full time and lives the 9-5 life, during the week you aren't likely to find me with a full beat face. I keep things minimal and simple throughout the week as not only is it not really appropriate to turn up to the office with a blue glitter cut crease but I'm not all about that 'getting up early' life so if wearing minimal makeup means I can sleep for longer then that's exactly what I'm going to do. Whilst this may seem like a lot of makeup for some people as an every day look, as someone who used to rock up to college with a full on smokey eye, this is very minimal for me!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
I've been alternating between a few primers recently, whilst I am still dabbling with the <a href="https://www.tambeauty.com/en/Freedom-Makeup-London-Pro-Studio-Strobe-Cream/m-1049.aspx">Freedom Strobe Cream</a> and the <a href="https://www.tambeauty.com/en/Freedom-Makeup-London-Pro-Studio-Priming-Water/m-1044.aspx">Freedom Priming Water</a>, I tend to stick to my tried and true <a href="https://www.harveynichols.com/brand/fenty-beauty/644984-pro-filtr-instant-retouch-primer/p2986083/">Fenty Beauty Pro Filt'r Instant Retouch Primer</a>. I have found that the strobe cream makes me slightly oily throughout the day and I know I can rely on the Fenty Primer to keep my foundation intact for a long day at work.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
For foundation I have been using the <a href="http://www.boots.com/rimmel-london-lasting-finish-breathable-foundation-10238203">Rimmel London Lasting Finish Breathable Foundation</a>. This foundation is quite nice, it's a medium coverage but it is build able, it blends nicely and has a nice dewy finish. To be perfectly honest I only use this foundation as I spend most of my life fake tanned and this is the only foundation that I own that matches my tan. The applicator is quite good as it is a huge doe-foot so you can apply the foundation easily with this and you don't have to get foundation all over your hands. I would imagine this is a little unhygienic but I do give it a wipe off every so often so hopefully it should be fine! I have just purchased the EX1 invisiwear foundation and the L'oreal stick foundation as well so I will give those a whirl and update you.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
For concealer to brighten up my eye bags because I spend my life fully knackered, I have been obsessed with the <a href="https://www.tambeauty.com/en/Makeup-Revolution-Conceal-and-Define-Concealer---C3/m-5847.aspx">Makeup Revolution Conceal & Define Concealer</a> in the shade C3. This concealer has fully stolen my heart, it's everything I want in a concealer for £1 more than a Tesco Meal Deal. This concealer is full coverage, blends seamlessly and sets amazing without looking heavy or cakey. The shade range is also amazing, I believe there are 18 shades which for a drugstore brand is insane and you can also use the darker shades as a contour. I am fully hooked on this concealer and have just ordered more back ups and a few more shades to try contouring with them and also so I have some that match my various stages of tan. Would highly recommend this product, my only peeve is that the tube is quite small so they run out quickly!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
To set my concealer I always use my tried and true <a href="https://www.beautybay.com/makeup/rcma/nocolourpowder/">RCMA No-Colour Powder</a> which I have raved about numerous times before. I'm 99.9% sure this powder is going to last me a life time as I have used it religiously for about a year now and I still haven't even got half way through. This powder is really affordable too so I would highly recommend looking into this. Then, to set the rest of my face I use my trusty <a href="http://www.boots.com/rimmel-stay-matte-pressed-powder-10097901">Rimmel Stay Matte</a> which I think is the only powder I have used the entire time I have been blogging and I have hyped this up so much in the past it doesn't require any further explanation.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
For cheeks I have been absolutely obsessed with the Becca Apres Ski Face Palette which my fabulous friend Meg bought me for my birthday. As you can see by the state that this palette is in, I have used it every single day since I got it and I will continue to use this until it is fully empty. Unfortunately this palette was limited edition, however my faves Bronzed Bondi and Opal are permanent so you can still purchase those. This was my favourite highlight ever up until about 3 days ago when I treated myself to a new beautiful thing which I will unveil to you very soon.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
For eyes, I keep it really simple on an every day basis, I just set my lids with powder to stop them creasing and do a simple, relatively thin winged liner with the <a href="http://www.boots.com/nyx-professional-makeup-vinyl-liquid-liner-black-10207867">NYX Vinyl Liquid Liner</a> which is sooooo easy to use it's amazing, the brush has a really long handle so you have good control over the brush and the brushes so thin so you can get a really thin line. The formula is amazing too, really pigmented and jet black and it's one of the very few eyeliners I've found that don't crumble or smudge throughout the day. I then put on a quick coat of mascara using the <a href="http://www.boots.com/collection-lash-surge-mascara-10238211">Collection Lash Surge Mascara in Waterproof Black</a> which is an amazing mascara for the price. This mascara does not budge, it can survive an 8 hour day, numerous nervous breakdowns and also survived walking in a blizzard the other day and it does not budge in the slightest, no crumbling, no flaking, no smudging, NOTHING. It is a bit of a pain in the bum to get off, you have to keep that micellar water soaking on it for a while and then give it a good scrub but I don't mind because of how amazing the mascara is in every other aspect. It also gives amazing length and volume without clumping, it's a solid 10/10. I then throw on some Demi Wispies because I feel like a total egg without lashes, once you start wearing them your makeup will never look the same and it becomes an addiction.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
For lips, I use the <a href="https://www.maccosmetics.co.uk/product/13852/340/products/makeup/lips/lip-pencil/lip-pencil#/shade/Boldly_Bare">Mac Lip Pencil in Boldly Bare</a> which is a very old favourite and I go over the top of that with the <a href="https://www.harveynichols.com/brand/fenty-beauty/644914-gloss-bomb-universal-lip-luminizer/p2986093/">Fenty Beauty Gloss Bomb</a> which I'm pretty sure I've mentioned on here before. It is by far the best lipgloss I have ever used and the obsession is real.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
I then give my face a quick spritz of the <a href="http://www.boots.com/beauty/makeup/face/setting-spray/glamglow-glowsetter-makeup-setting-spray-110ml-10233705">Glamglow Glowsetter Makeup Setting Spray</a>. I haven't really formed a proper opinion on this product really, I just feel like it's your average setting spray and nothing too special but I will keep you updated.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
That concludes my every day face, a very long and rambly post on something that literally takes me 10 minutes in the morning and is relatively simply. What are your every day makeup staples?</div>

<br />
I haven't written a blogpost in the longest time so in that time I have been trying out a whole load of different things and have accumulated quite a few firm favourites. As you'll know if you read my last post, I have recently started a new job so I now work full time as a Paralegal Apprentice so I am now earning quite a lot more than I used to which means I have more funds to treat myself to new things to try and feature on the blog. I may do a post soon with a little life update and letting you know how I'm getting on in my new job if that's something you would be interested in.<br />
<br />
The first favourite is not photographed but was used to take the photographs. At the end of August my iPhone 6S Plus conked out on me (luckily my contract was up so I could get a new phone at any time without it costing an arm and a leg) so I upgraded to the 7 Plus. Whilst I am a little miffed that I didn't wait a few more weeks until the 8 came out, I am still pretty chuffed with this one. The portrait mode is my favourite for taking up close shots with a blurred background and the photos all look so professional, and it's so handy being able to just take photos with my phone so I don't have to lug my huge camera around.<br />
<br />
Onto makeup favourites, I have a few products I have been loving that the beauty community have completely lost their sh*t over. First of all we have the MorpheXJaclynHill Palette which is unfortunately out of stock at the minute (I normally tweet every time it comes back in stock so make sure you follow me on Twitter if you are wanting to get your hands on this). The colours as you can see are amazing, you have everything in this palette that you could possibly need and the formula is also out of this world as you would expect from Morphe. This is the only palette I have used since I got it as I can literally create any look with it, and I have also used it to travel as it has everything I could possibly need for whichever look I wanted to create. The packaging and presentation is stunning and the contents are amazing so I would definitely recommend this, and whilst it is a little pricier than your average Morphe palette retailing at £37, it is still an absolute steal for 35 eyeshadows. It works out to be £1.05 per eyeshadow which is insane considering your average Makeup Geek pan is around £6 and the Morphe quality is more than on par with Makeup Geek and you get it all in one sleek palette.<br />
<br />
The next favourites seem to be everyones favourites at the minute and this range has taken the world by storm. The Fenty Beauty <a href="https://www.harveynichols.com/brand/fenty-beauty/644818-pro-filtr-soft-matte-longwear-foundation-150/p2986038/">Foundation</a>, <a href="https://www.harveynichols.com/brand/fenty-beauty/644984-pro-filtr-instant-retouch-primer/p2986083/">Primer</a> and <a href="https://www.harveynichols.com/brand/fenty-beauty/644880-killawatt-freestyle-highlighter-duo/p2986067/">Killawatt Freestyle Highlighting Duo in Lightning Dust and Fire Crystal</a> have become staples in my makeup collection this month. I also have the <a href="https://www.harveynichols.com/brand/fenty-beauty/644914-gloss-bomb-universal-lip-luminizer/p2986093/">Gloss Bomb Universal Lip Luminizer</a> but I don't feel like I reach for this as much, purely because I work full time and walk for about 15 minutes to my office and with this weather, the hair in lipgloss thing is too much for me to handle so I opt for a more matte stress free lip during the winter months. However, I do really like the formula and the shade is perfect so I can see myself getting a lot more use out of this during the warmer months. The primer is unlike anything I've ever tried before, the texture feels like a rich moisturiser and it glides on to the skin, smoothing everything out and giving your skin a boost of hydration ready for foundation. I wouldn't say the primer was a must with the foundation as the foundation is amazing in itself and I had the foundation for a few weeks before I got the primer, but I would say the primer compliments the foundation beautifully and definitely helps with the finish and longevity of the foundation. I also think I would continue to use this primer with other foundations as it creates the perfect canvas for makeup to sit on top of. The foundation has been a real hit with everyone on the internet with the unique formula and extensive shade range. With 40 shades to choose from you're guaranteed to find your perfect match and the formula is unlike anything I've ever used before. I normally steer clear from matte foundations as I find they just look cakey and cling to all of my dry patches, but this one is completely different. The coverage is amazing and it blends and builds beautifully, and then it sets to an almost matte finish which I like to just give a dusting of powder to and it leaves my skin looking like porcelain but it still looks like skin. It is the most natural looking foundation I have ever tried and I am obsessed with it! Plus the packaging is very luxurious and minimalistic and for £26 I thought this was a bargain for a high-end foundation when you consider that Nars charge around the £35 mark. Lastly we have the highlight which is not served justice in the above photos. The pigment is insane and it is such a perfect shade on my very pale complexion. One side is more of a natural glow which is more than noticeable but is more of a sheen and the other side is very sparkly and is pretty blinding on the skin. I like to use the more natural one where I would normally highlight and then I take the extra sparkly one just on the very very high points of my cheeks and the tip of my nose for a little bit of extra glow. The pigment is insane and the formula is amazing, very buttery and glides on to the skin and blends out nicely. I also don't feel like the sparkly one is too chunky or glittery either, it's the perfect full-on highlight. These retail at £26 which I think is a bargain for 2 highlights and I think I will be purchasing another shade for when I'm fake tanned too!<br />
<br />
Next up we have the <a href="https://www.superdrug.com/Skincare-Offers/Superdrug-Vitamin-E-Hydrating-Mist-150ml/p/297412">Superdrug Vitamin E Hydrating Mist</a>. My friend Charleigh is a makeup artist (her work is amazing, check out her instagram <a href="http://www.instagram.com/charhebbardmua">here</a>) and she had heard that this was a dupe of MAC Fix+ which as you probably know is a little on the pricey side. This was £2.99 so I decided it would be crazy not to give it a go, plus it was on buy one get a second half price so we got them for about £2.25 each. I like this way more than Fix+, it smells of coconuts which is amazing, it is ten times more hydrating on the skin and it leaves my makeup with the most beautiful dewy and flawless finish. I spray it before primer, after primer and then when I've finished my whole face and it's amazing and for £2.99 I can go crazy with it and use as much as I like whereas Fix+ is expensive so I have to be very careful with it so if you are a Fix+ kind of gal then give this little beauty a go.<br />
<br />
Another recommendation from Charleigh that has become a firm staple in my makeup collection is the MAC 221 brush which is conveniently out of stock at the moment. Charleigh has 2 of these and I borrowed one whilst we were away together and I became quickly obsessed and used it religiously before I finally caved and bought my own. They are pretty pricey but I haven't been able to find another brush similar for a more affordable price, I am still on the hunt. It's such a universal brush, Charleigh will literally use it for an entire eye look because it's just the perfect size to get a really precise and defined crease and the fluffiness means it does all the blending work for you and is just a dream to use. I will update this post with a link when it is back in stock for anyone who is interested.<br />
<br />
Lastly we have a product which I am in the process of writing a whole post on so I won't ramble on about them too much but the <a href="http://www.boots.com/bourjois-rouge-velvet-lipstick-10235882">Bourjois Rouge Velvet the Lipstick's</a> have been by far my most used lip products over the past few months. I was lucky enough to get sent the entire collection by Influenster in a VoxBox (I will tell you all about Influenster and how it works in my full review) so I have been putting them to the test over the past few months. The formula is unlike no other, they go on like a regular lipstick but dry like a liquid lipstick and don't budge. There are 12 shades in the range so there is plenty to suit everyone but my 3 favourite are 01 Hey Nude!, 10 Magni-Fig (the berry plum color) and 11 Berry Formidable (the deep red). I will do a swatch of every single shade in the collection in a post coming soon so keep your eyes peeled for that.<br />
<br />
That is everything I have been loving over the past few months that I have been MIA. I have started to make more time to work on my blog as I have really been missing it so hopefully I will be able to post a little more regularly! Keep your eyes peeled for some more exciting content very soon!<br />

<div style="text-align: left;">
If you follow me on social media, particularly Instagram you will know that I have recently bagged myself the <a href="http://www.beautybay.com/cosmetics/anastasiabeverlyhills/modernrenaissanceeyeshadowpalette/">Anastasia Modern Renaissance Palette</a>. It's honestly the most photogenic palette ever and I've been filling your insta feeds with various snaps of this beauty from all angles! I ran a little poll on Twitter and it seems that lots of you were interested in a First Impressions, so thats exactly what this very long and rambly post is going to be. </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
I ordered this puppy from Beauty Bay which is by far my favourite online retailer for all of my beauty needs. I ordered this at 7pm on Friday 25th August which was the beginning of the bank holiday weekend, and it arrived on the Sunday morning, so the shipping was fast and also free as this palette cost quite a bit more than £15. It came perfectly packaged and protected which is just as well as no one was home when the parcel arrived and the delivery man threw it over my back gate into a wasps nest, as you can imagine, salvaging this beauty was a bit of a struggle so I sent my boyfriend in to do the job for me.</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Starting off with my very first impressions opening the box. The packaging is beautiful, a pretty mauve velvet with gold and white embossed lettering in a slimline, travel friendly size. Whilst the packaging is very aesthetically pleasing, I'm not sure that it's overly practical. Not only is is made from cardboard so it feels cheap and is very delicate, but the outer packaging is velvet which gets dirty with the slightest of touches and I just know will end up completely wrecked as this palette has become a firm staple in my collection. For the price you pay for it (a whopping £41) I think the packaging could do with some re-evaluation, and whilst you may be thinking that the product inside should be the main focus, packaging contributes a lot to the overall quality of the product. Overall I wouldn't say that its overly travel-friendly if you're the sort of person that likes to keep your makeup looking pristine like me, however if you're not bothered about the appearance of your palette then the slimline and compact size complete with a decent mirror and a brush is perfect to take around with you wherever you go. As much as I am dying to use this palette in my kit to use on clients as the shades are stunning, I'm not sure I can bear to see it get ruined just yet so I think I will keep this beauty for just my enjoyment for a while. This palette does come with a brush, one end is more of a flat shader and the other is a fluffy blender. I think the flat shader side is really good and I've been using that one quite frequently but the fluffy blender side is very rough and does not blend the shadows out very well at all, it just leaves me with a stingy eye and muddy, patchy looking eyeshadow so it doesn't really float my boat.</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Onto the exciting bit, the eyeshadows themselves! There are 14 shades in this palette which I believe were inspired by paintings, I'm assuming by the name from the Renaissance period. A lot of them are very warm which is right up my street, as you know I swear by the Morphe 35O palette so the second I laid eyes on this when it was released, I knew I needed it in my life. I was also desperate to try the pinks as I had seen so many stunning looks on Instagram with those sorts of shades, I wanted in on the action. The shades are as follows:</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<b><br /></b></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<b>Tempera</b> - an off white cream matte, perfect for subtle highlights or setting your base</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<b>Golden Ochre</b> - a golden yellow light transition shade</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<b>Vermeer</b> - a frosted pink shimmer, amazing for highlighting</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<b>Buon Fresco</b> - a very unique lilac/grey shade, perfect as a transition for the pinks</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<b>Antique Bronze</b> - a purple brown satin shade, which would look stunning in a smokey eye for brown or green eyes.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<b>Love Letter</b> - a stunning raspberry pink matte</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<b>Cyprus Umber </b>- a deep cool toned brown with a hint of plum</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<b>Raw Sienna </b>- a neutral light brown matte, perfect as a transition or as a crease shade</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<b>Burnt Orange </b>- a stunning pale warm orange matte, perfect as a transition for a really warm look</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<b>Primavera</b> - a beautiful pale gold shimmer</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<b>Red Ochre</b> - a typical brick red matte</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<b>Venetian Red</b> - a deep cranberry satin with a hint of blue iridescence (though this doesnt show up on the skin)</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<b>Warm Taupe</b> - a cool toned grey/brown matte</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<b>Realgar</b> - the perfect rusty orange matte</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
The swatches don't pick up quite as true to colour on camera, after experimenting with various lighting and backgrounds this is as close I could get to how they look in real life so I would recommend looking up some more swatches so you can get a really good idea of what the shades look like. The formula of these shades could be controversial, I personally love it but it may not be for everyone. The pigment of these shadows is INSANE, and I mean INSANE. All of the swatches you see pictured above were a dab of my finger into the pan, barely touching them, honestly they are ridiculous. I find to get the best finish you need to apply a small amount, tap off the excess and then apply and build otherwise they can be a little tricky to blend if you apply too much of the darker colours, but I'm willing to work for them as they are so beautiful. As much as this sounds like a proper blogger cliché, they are really buttery they literally feel so soft and creamy to the touch, they're unlike anything I've ever tried before. Once I had got the hang of it and got used to the insane pigmentation, they were a dream to work with and I never want to stop using it. The only issue I do have is the slightest touch of the shadows gives you a huge amount of kickback and fallout, which means all of product gets wasted which is slightly soul destroying when you've spent £41 on it and its just wasting away before your eyes. When these photos were taken I had used the palette only once on my eyes and I had swatched it once, yet it looks like it has been used constantly for months which is a little disappointing, however it is nothing like the sort of thing I've seen with people wrestling with the Subculture Palette. The trick is to barely touch the eyeshadows, that way you get the perfect amount of product and minimise the wastage.</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
All in all, I think this palette is stunning, however it is very expensive and is definitely a princess product. However, if you want to treat yourself to something more luxury then I highly recommend this! I will have another post coming in a few days time, showing you a few looks that I have done with this palette so you can see it in action, make sure you follow me on Bloglovin' and Social Media to be notified of when that goes live! What are your thoughts on this palette?</div>

Remember me? I came back and then disappeared again, but again I have good reason! A lot has happened over the past month and I am very excited to update you all on whats been happening.<br />
<br />
So as you probably know as I mentioned it in my previous post, I finished college in June so now is the time to establish what I am going to do in the next stage of my life. I knew I never wanted to go to Uni and I was desperate to take the apprenticeship. It wasn't until I embarked on my very long, stressful and gruelling job search that I realised just how scarce apprenticeships are in the legal profession. However, after a month of 24/7 job hunting, going for god knows how many interviews and picking up the phone to recruiters every 5 minutes, I am delighted to announce that I have landed myself MY DREAM JOB! As of 4th September, I will be a Paralegal Apprentice for an amazing Law Firm! I won't mention the company as of yet as I'm not sure how they would feel about it being publicised on my blog, though they are fully aware of what I do and are very impressed by it and greatly support it. Those of you close to me will know the firm and will know that this is the job I desperately wanted. When I got the call to say they'd like to have me in for an interview I was ecstatic and the second I walked into the office and started getting to know some of the staff I knew this was the job for me, so you can imagine how buzzed I was when I got the phone call to say I had been successful.<br />
<br />
I am hoping now my job hunt is over I can dedicate more time into blogging, I know I have been very absent over the past year but I have so many ideas floating round in my head that I am just dying to make happen. I also really want to start a legal blog, I'm not sure I'll be writing legal articles on this blog purely due to the fact you're all here for beauty and fashion and I appreciate everyone doesn't get the same buzz about Law as I do so I think I will set up a new blog purely dedicated to that but I will keep you updated here in case any of you are interested.<br />
<br />
I am so excited to start this new chapter in my life and I am delighted to be able to take you all with me. Be sure to follow me on all social media (all linked in the side bar) to keep up to date with my day to day life when I'm not on the blog.<br />
<br />
Thank you for sticking around and I'll hopefully be able to bring you some more exciting content very soon!<br />

<span id="goog_1925996883"></span><span id="goog_1925996884"></span><span id="goog_2055128212"></span><span id="goog_2055128213"></span>I've been trying to write this post for about a week now but our wifi has been all over the place so I have been unable to. As you probably will have noticed, I've been MIA again and that is purely down to having zero time to blog. If you follow me on social media you will know that I have just finished my A-levels and have left college - I honestly do not know where those two years have gone! What with being in college 5 days a week and trying to do 3 particularly hard A-levels as well as having a part time job and also doing makeup on the side, plus trying to make time to see my friends and my boyfriend and have a social life, blogging very much took a back seat. However, now college and exams are over I have found myself with a lot of time on my hands and I am desperate to get back into blogging.<br />
I'm currently in bed ill with a stomach bug which is doing my head in so I need something to occupy my brain, so I am finally getting round to relaunching my blog and I am currently researching and brain storming for some future posts. At the minute, I am pretty busy with working and it's also prom season so I am doing trials and makeups left right and centre, as well as having two big weddings coming up which is helping me to earn some extra money and also taking up a lot of my time. Due to this, I don't want to commit myself to a blog schedule so for a while everything will be a bit random until I establish some sort of routine. I will just be posting as and when I have free time and I will be keeping you updated on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram with what I'm doing so make sure you're following me on all of those to keep up to date! You can also follow me on my makeup Instagram <a href="http://www.instagram.com/emilyfayemakeup">here</a> to see all of the makeup looks I've been creating on myself and my beautiful clients, and if you are Bristol based or willing to travel, don't hesitate to contact me to book your makeover!<br />
I think that is all I have to update you on for now, thank you to all of my loyal followers who have stuck around all this time, and normal service shall resume as of today!<br />

I really wish this little quote was true, today is going to be a very busy day and hopefully I'll be as productive as I need to be! This week I went back to college and was thrown straight back into the deep end with tests and assignments literally coming out of my ears. Two very exciting things happened this week, the first being that I hit 1000 followers on Instagram which I think I may have mentioned in my post that went up on Wednesday. This has been a goal for quite a while and I finally reached it which I was quite chuffed with, if you don't already follow me on Instagram then my username is its_little_em and you can also click on the button in the top right hand corner of my blog! I also met up with a really old friend of mine who moved to Australia 7 years ago, she came over to visit her family for christmas and we got a chance to meet up which was so nice, it's crazy how much we have all changed in the 7 years that we have been apart.<br />
<br />
Today is going to have to be pretty productive, I have a bunch of blog photos I want to take so I am prepared for the next 2 weeks of posts because I have no time any other day, I also want to get a fair amount of Accounting Revision done for the test I have on Tuesday and I'm also going to start bullet journalling today. I've seen loads of photos and people raving about bullet journalling on Instagram and Pinterest and I decided that I wanted in on the action as well. I did a whole bunch of research yesterday, planned out some of the stuff I wanted to put in there and how I wanted it to look and I ordered my journal and some supplies on Amazon. I'm currently waiting on the Amazon Prime delivery man to bring me my goodies so I can start on it straight away. Maybe once I've tweaked the system a bit and established one that works for me I'll do a whole post dedicated to bullet journalling. I'm sure once I get started and it starts coming together my Instagram feed will be flooded with pretty pictures of my journal pages. I think this will help me so much with managing everything, being able to plan and track everything all in one place is going to be so useful, and also making it look pretty and spending time on it should be quite therapeutic and relaxing. Like I said, I'll do a full post on what bullet journalling is and how it works, as well as my favourite supplies and how I've made it work for me once I get started. If you're interested in starting bullet journalling and want some inspiration, I've made a Pinterest board <a href="https://uk.pinterest.com/emilyfayexx/bullet-journal-inspiration/">here</a> if you want to go and have a look. I've repinned loads of other peoples work and hopefully I can add some of my own into it once it's all up and running.<br />
<br />
There's not been a lot to really talk about this week so I've just been spewing randomness out as it pops into my head! I hope you have all had an amazing week and I'll be back on Wednesday with my What I got for Christmas post!<br />

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I'll first start this post with saying Happy New Year and a belated Merry Christmas! I have been absent for just over a month now because I have been run off my feet with college work, and working two retail jobs over the christmas period has meant when I wasn't in college I was working pretty much non-stop. Over the month I have been absent I've turned 18, worked a ridiculous amount of hours and then before I knew it, christmas had arrived! I'm planning on putting up a what I got for christmas post next week so I will tell you all about my christmas then, but I got some really lovely gifts and had a really nice day. This is the first night throughout the whole christmas holidays that I have actually had a break and been able to write a post, every day leading up to christmas I was either at work or doing some christmas preparations, and then every day after christmas I was working so I finally have a little break to get some work done.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
2016 has been a funny year, it's had a lot of downs but also a few ups. I'm trying not to dwell on the downs so I am just focussing on the good things that have happened this year. I was just looking over my new years resolutions and goals from last year and I am so pleased with myself that I managed to achieve all of them this year (apart from drinking more water and eating more healthily which I failed at epically). I passed my theory test and my driving test and I managed to save up and buy the car of my dreams which I think is probably the best thing that happened to me this year. My life changed completely on 11th June when I picked up my little fiat 500 Humphrey, I was finally free and felt so much more independent and grown up, it is by far one of my biggest achievements. I also passed all of my AS exams with really good grades, I was particularly pleased with my A in Law because I want a career in the legal profession so getting that A really pushed me even more to do as well as I can this year. I also got a job with some of the best people ever, I honestly work with the most amazing people and I am so grateful to have my Next family in my life. I have had some very rough patches this year and I've been so grateful to be able to go to work and always know that there is someone there to cheer me up. I also got an interview for a legal apprenticeship with an amazing law firm, which I am so happy about because this is the first step in setting myself up for a successful career doing something that I am hugely passionate about, literally ask anyone who knows me and they'll tell you I'm a complete Law freak! I have also met the most amazing bunch of girls since being involved with grlpowr, it has helped me so much this year to network with other bloggers and to help grow my blog even more and I couldn't be more grateful for their support. I always know that I have the grlpowr group to turn to no matter what happens and they're always willing to help me out when I need them. I have had a busy year so blogging has taken a back seat for a lot of the year, but I have been so proud with the content that I have created this year even though there hasn't been a vast quantity of it. I love having my blog as a hobby and an outlet for my rambles but I'm very pleased to have worked with more brands this year and got involved with so many amazing projects and also taken part in some sponsorships which has helped develop my passion into something that I can proudly call my business. As I am writing this, I have just hit 1000 followers on Instagram which is a huge milestone and I also hit 1000 on Twitter last month which I am so chuffed about. 2017 is already off to an amazing start and I really want this to be the year that my blog gets a lot more love and attention because I feel so proud watching it blossom and grow. Focussing on all the amazing things I have achieved this year makes 2016 seem not quite as bad, hopefully 2017 will be just as prosperous and successful.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
My aim for 2017 is to get 2 blogposts up a week, over the past month I have really missed reading your comments and interacting with you all. I want to devote more time to doing things I love and things that make me happy and stop being such a workaholic. My aim is to have a post up every Wednesday and then have my Sunday Edit posts up on a Sunday because they seem to always go down well and it gives you a chance to keep up with what I'm up to. 2017 is going to be the year where I stop wasting precious time, I want to use every spare minute to do something productive. If 2016 has taught me anything, its that time is precious. I want to make memories with people that matter that I will treasure forever, and spend every moment bettering myself or working towards something. No more wasting time sat in bed for hours on end watching pug videos on Facebook, get up and do something with your life woman! I'm definitely going to be more harsh on myself this year but in a good way, I really want to work hard and get the best A-level grades that I can, as well as making sure I spend time doing things that I really enjoy. I haven't made any resolutions as such, just goals to make sure 2017 is the best I can make it.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Enough rambling from me, time to wrap this up before I go off on a massive tangent and sit here typing away for another hour. I wish you all a very happy and healthy 2017 and hope it brings you all the amazing things that you deserve! If you have any resolutions or goals for 2017 then let me know, I love knowing what other people are striving to achieve! Keep an eye out for my Sunday Edit which you might have guessed will be up on Sunday!</div>

I've been a bit MIA this week but that's been I've been ridiculously busy and have had zero free time to sit down and do some blog work. I know I say that every week but to be honest, I'm run off my feet 90% of the time, I'm a busy gal! Managing 3 A-levels, 2 part time jobs and a blog with all of my social media accounts can prove to be quite the challenge. I say two part time jobs, because I got the job with Benefit and will be starting very soon! If you follow me on social media then you'll already know (if you don't, simply click the icons in the side bar) that I had a phone call to say that I'd successfully passed the recruitment process and had to go for my store approval at Debenhams which also went really well! I am beyond excited about this job, I'm going to be in my element playing with makeup all day long and getting paid to do it. I've also done 2 long shifts at my other job at Next this week so when I've not been in college I've been at work or going for work-related shenanigans. As per, I've had a ton of college work too and I have two essays waiting to be done as I write, college is really starting to get busy now, I've got assignments and tests to revise for like you wouldn't believe and I literally have zero motivation.<br />
<br />
Hopefully this week will be a little more quiet and less stressful though I'm not holding out much hope! I'm going to work solidly all week so that I can have Friday and the weekend off because it's my 18th Birthday. I'm so excited to finally be 18 and be able to do adult stuff, I feel like I've been waiting so long to finally be able to go out with my friends. I don't really have a lot planned but I want to be able to take a break and chill for a bit and hopefully consume a large quantity of wine. I got my nails done today for my birthday and they are by far the best things I have seen in a long time, I went for rose gold chrome and although it cost me a fortune, I am beyond pleased with them! If you want to see them, I put a photo up on my Instagram which you can find <a href="https://www.instagram.com/p/BNUcBuJjRya/?taken-by=its_little_em">here</a>.<br />
<br />
Last but not least, I'm hosting the GRLPOWR chat tonight at 9pm GMT over on twitter, you can find the grlpowr account <a href="https://twitter.com/GRLPOWRCHAT">here</a> so make sure you follow us and join in! Tonight's topic is blogging and life goals, I'd love to see you there!<br />
<br />
I hope you've had the most fabulous week!<br />

Couldn't think of a truer quote for today's post, I've literally achieved nothing today and it's already nearly 4pm. This week has been hectic as per usual, my week has literally just been work and college so nothing new! The only exciting thing that happened this week is that I went for my interview with Benefit on Friday which was incredibly nerve wracking but I think I did ok. The manager that I was interviewed by was so lovely, we went to cafe nero and she bought me a hot chocolate and we did the interview there. I think I did ok but I was really nervous, I find out on Tuesday whether I was successful or not so fingers crossed. If I am successful then I will probably do a more in depth post about my experience with Benefit recruitment because I know a lot of my readers would probably be interested in a job in that kind of environment so they may find it useful. It's not the end of the world if I don't get it, I already have a job which pays fairly well and although I'll be really disappointed I know there are plenty more opportunities to come for me in the near future.<br />
<br />
I had so much planned to do this weekend and I feel like sitting down to write this post is really the only productive thing I've done. Yesterday I worked all day and then came home and literally just slumped in bed for the reset of the evening because I was so exhausted. I did manage to write my birthday and christmas list though, my mum's been pestering me for weeks for it but I just couldn't think of anything I wanted. I can't believe I'm going to be 18 in less than two weeks time, this year has literally gone in the blink of an eye. This time last year I was getting really excited about starting to learn to drive and I was looking at fiat 500's that I was desperate to buy, and now a year on I've been driving almost 6 months and have a much newer and better car than I expected myself to be able to get. As much as I've moaned about how bad this year has been, when I sit and think about it, it's actually not been too bad. Completely changing the subject, I went to home bargains and matalan this morning and got a whole bunch of cute copper/rose gold things for my room. I'm not redecorating as such, just changing the decor in my room and going down the whole cliche blogger route of marble and rose gold. I'm a sucker for anything marble and rose gold so I can't wait to get it all done and finished. I just posted a photo on Instagram of a few bits I bought today <a href="https://www.instagram.com/p/BNCZi55jHMm/?taken-by=its_little_em">here</a> so go and have a swoon!<br />
<br />
I can't think of anything else to ramble about now, I need to stop procrastinating and get on with my Economics essay on Trade Unions that's due in tomorrow. Oh the joys!<br />
<br />
I hope you've all had a lovely week!<br />
<br />

Now you're probably sick to death of hearing me go on about this blog planner, but I can assure you my love for this is not unjustified. I first saw the hype on Twitter emerging over this Blog Planner so I did some investigating and discovered that the <a href="http://www.dotcreates.com/products/blog-planner-notepad">Dot Creates Blog Planner Notepad</a> is only £5. Yes you read that right, £5. I have been on the hunt for the perfect blog planner throughout my entire blogging career and I could never find one that suited my needs that was under £15. But alas, I have completed my quest and I couldn't be more thrilled. <br />
<a name='more'></a>This has played a crucial part in me getting my life together, before I used one planner for EVERYTHING. Literally all of my college work blog posts/ideas and all my work hours plus life bits and bobs were all crammed into one planner and it was just organised chaos. Since receiving this in the mail only 3 days after I placed my order, I've been organised af and have felt so much better about life. This planner is the perfect thing for organising each post so you can ensure you have put everything into it that you wanted to. You can write the date of publishing as well as the date the idea popped into your head, the title and then you have a huge space to jot down all the little notes that you want to incorporate in the post. Then once you are done planning the content, you have a little to do list at the bottom to make sure you don't miss any of the most important components out. Once you have ticked all 3 boxes at the bottom, your post is ready to go! I've found this so handy and I can honestly see myself going through a whole bunch of these - I may need to bulk order!<br />
<br />
I also couldn't help myself when I saw these <a href="http://www.dotcreates.com/collections/stickers/products/believe-and-achieve-stickers">stickers</a>, I didn't need them at all but I thought they would look so cute stuck on my weekly planner which I showed you in my post on Saturday about how to be more productive when working from home which you can find <a href="http://emilyfayeslittleworld.blogspot.co.uk/2016/11/how-to-be-productive-when-working-from.html">here</a>. As you may have noticed from my Sunday posts, I've been really into motivational quotes and little things to just remind you why you're doing certain things. I'm such a sucker for cute little things like this, and at £1.20 they were practically a steal.<br />
<br />
The service and shipping from Dot Creates was outstanding. I ordered these bits and bobs late on 26th October and they dropped through my letter box on 29th, beautifully packaged in a bubble wrap envelope so they didn't get damaged or bent. Danielle (the founder of Dot Creates and also a blogger) even popper in a little hand written note from her, thanking me for my order which I thought was such a lovely touch! Overall, I have nothing but praise for my entire experience with Dot Creates and I will definitely be purchasing more from the website in the near future. Next on my list to buy are these 'Life is better in rose gold' prints <a href="http://www.dotcreates.com/products/life-is-better-in-rose-gold-a5-print-1">here</a> because rose gold is everything, and I'm also lusting after these <a href="http://www.dotcreates.com/products/gold-foil-pencils">Gold Foil Pencils</a>. I may even make a wish list post in the future, because if I'm honest I'd quite like to order 90% of the site.<br />
<br />
Have you had a gander around the Dot Creates website? I strongly advise that you do, you won't be disappointed!<br />

I think this photo perfectly sums up how I've been feeling this week. I've had a very productive week indeed, I've fully caught up with college work and I actually am slightly ahead, I've completely cleared out my room and thrown as much as I could away so that I can declutter everything and start to change things up with some new furniture and decor because I'm a bit bored with it at the moment. I've also been working really hard on my blog, I've been photographing things for upcoming posts, sorting through and trying out PR samples ready for reviews and I also did a sponsored post yesterday which is also really exciting. I initially was going to decline because I didn't feel like it fitted in with my blog at all but I already had a post in mind that I was going to do anyway and it ended up fitting in nicely. If you missed it, you can find my post all about how to be more productive when working from home <a href="http://emilyfayeslittleworld.blogspot.co.uk/2016/11/how-to-be-productive-when-working-from.html">here</a>. I feel like since I got a decent blog planner (which you can read more about on Wednesday so keep your eyes peeled) I've really been able to get organised and step up my blogging game which has made me immensely happy.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
As you may have seen on my social media, I went to a charity event on Friday that my friend organised and it was such an amazing night. It was all in aid of cancer research and a huge sum of money was raised for the amazing cause which was fantastic. It was such a good night and I think most people that went really enjoyed themselves. Another exciting thing that happened this week is I got an email on Friday inviting me for an interview with Benefit Cosmetics! I have been dying to work for benefit for almost 2 years and I had applied multiple times with little success, but I've finally got an interview so I will work as hard as possible to try and secure myself a position on their amazing team. I would work for Benefit alongside my other job which is only one day a week and with college, which is a fairly big commitment but I would be earning really good money which will be very handy indeed! I'll be able to run my car, save up for next years insurance and save for an iMac which is next on my list to purchase and still have quite a lot left over to treat myself with. I'm so excited, this could hopefully be the start of something fabulous! The last exciting thing that happened this week is my friend Chloe finally passed her driving test, it's been a long time coming so I am so pleased for her that she finally managed to do it!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Overall, this week has been very productive and exciting, and I have a few things planned for this week which will hopefully make this week just as good. Things are finally looking up and I couldn't be happier!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I hope you too have had an amazing week and hopefully this week will be great for you too!</div>

If you're a blogger or a student or even run your own business, you will be familiar with the concept of working from home. Working from home can prove quite a challenge and there are quite a few things you need to get right to ensure you achieve optimum productivity. Here are a 5 tips on how to stay motivated and make sure you're getting as much done as you can and get it done in the best possible way!<br />
<a name='more'></a><br />
<br />
K E E P A C L E A N & T I D Y W O R K S P A C E<br />
Keeping a neat and organised work space is key for maintaining motivation and getting stuff done. Keeping everything in order helps you to focus and limits distraction and you have more space to work which is always much more efficient. A tidy home leads to a tidy mind, as well as it being beneficial for your health. God only knows what kinds of germs are floating about your house so it is crucial to keep things spick and span. You can either do this yourself, or if you're majorly busy and don't have time for cleaning and tidying you can go through a company such as handy.com, an <a href="https://www.handy.com/cleaning-services/new-york">NYC based apartment cleaning service</a> where you can either go online or use their app to book a slot, pay via card and have one of their trusted professionals will come out and get the job done for you. This is such a handy service (as the name would suggest) for those of you who are workaholics like me and work 7 days a week and just can't find time to get on top of the housework!<br />
<br />
R E M O V E D I S T R A C T I O N S<br />
This is a very difficult one if you're a social media whizz and are constantly wanting to keep updated with whats going on in everyones lives. Turn off the TV, put your phone on aeroplane mode or throw it out the window or do whatever to stop yourself being tempted to start playing with it. An app I've found extremely useful to stop myself using my phone whilst I'm working is FocusNow. You set a timer for how long you want to work and the app grows a tree in that time and you get a tower starting to build with every tree you grow. If you leave the app whilst you're supposed to be working for a cheeky scroll through Twitter, your tree dies and the app shouts at you. This is a very fun and useful app and it is also free on the app store <a href="https://itunes.apple.com/gb/app/focusnow-bye-delay/id923253617?mt=8">here</a>.<br />
<br />
P L A N, P L A N A N D P L A N S O M E M O R E<br />
I am a self-confessed planning freak. I don't think there is anything more satisfying than ticking off completed tasks on your to do list and watching as your list progressively shrinks as you get work done. I think planning applies to any work really not just to those of you working at home, but sometimes when you're working from home you can be a little too relaxed and not in the right frame of mind so organising what you need to do will definitely help to motivate you and make sure you get everything done. There is nothing worse than being behind on things, and especially if you run your own business you can't afford to be behind on things or not get things done. Having a clear view of everything that needs doing and when it has to be done by will help you get a clear perspective on things and will help to combat the feeling of being utterly suffocated with work. If you're a blogger then my favourite way to plan things is using my <a href="http://www.dotcreates.com/products/blog-planner-notepad">Blog Planner Notepad</a> from Dot Creates (full post coming Wednesday) as I can make sure I jot down all of my ideas for a post and I then know exactly what needs to be done before the post goes up. A lot of planning and preparation goes into a post before you all get to read it so this helps me to make sure that I know of everything I need to do and that each post is completed to the highest standard. I also love this weekly planner which I forget the source of, but I think I just typed in something along the lines of 'printable planner' into google and got a bunch of free downloads which have been very handy.<br />
<br />
T A K E F R E Q U E N T B R E A K S<br />
This is probably the most important step in making sure you don't run out of steam. Time your work sessions and after completing each one take 5-10 minutes to go for a wander round, get some fresh air and grab a snack so you can reboot and recharge before you get back to work again. This is especially useful if you're working on a challenging project thats causing you stress, taking a break from it and then looking at it again with a fresh state of mind can sometimes be the key to cracking it. I know if I've been struggling with some revision or have been stuck on some homework, constantly dwelling on it tends to be counter productive and going away and coming back to it once you've cleared your mind can be extremely beneficial. I tend to spend my breaks doing something I love, scrolling through Instagram, watching a youtube video or grabbing something to eat and a cup of tea. It's probably not a wise idea to start watching an episode of your favourite TV show on Netflix because you and I both know you're not going to go back to work once you've started that.<br />
<br />
K E E P Y O U R B R A I N F U E L L E D<br />
Your brain is simply going to conk out if you don't keep eating and drinking throughout the day, so be sure to keep a bottle of water nearby and some healthy snacks. The worst thing you can do is allow yourself to feel sluggish and tired by either not eating and drinking or simply eating junk. You will quickly begin to lose concentration and all your work won't get the full attention and focus that it needs. Keeping some bits of fruit to pick at and a big bottle of water to keep you going can make a significant difference to your motivation and productivity, and obviously you're aware of the importance of drinking water in general.<br />
<br />
That concludes my tips on how to be productive when working from home, let me know if any of these have helped you and also if you have any other tips and tricks leave them in the comments!<br />

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<i>Left to Right:- Maybelline 'Berry Much', Nyx 'Copenhagen', Revlon 'Sultry', Mac 'Whirl' and Sleek 'Vamp'</i></div>
<br />
<br />
I think one of my most favourite things about the colder months is the darker makeup, lipstick being my favourite component. Narrowing my favourite picks down to 5 was evidently difficult but I managed to gather together the creme de la creme of the bunch.<br />
<br />
If you're a fan of the classic vampy reds/purples/berries then the first 3 are for you. First up to bat is the newest addition to my collection, the <a href="http://www.boots.com/en/Sleek-MakeUp-True-Colour-Lipstick_1393161/">Sleek True Colour Lipstick in 'Vamp'</a> is your classic deep vampy red as the name would suggest. It's deep muted brown tones make it the perfect shade to suit any complexion, it truly is the perfect autumn shade. It's a creamy matte formula and looks stunning on the lips, however I do find it can wear off in the centre throughout the day and leave a line around the edge as well as making your lips a tad dry and flaky, but thats nothing some lip balm and a quick exfoliation can't combat. For £4.99 (well technically for free because I bought it with my boots points) you can't really go wrong, so it's worth a pop! Similar in tone but perhaps with a hint more purple is the <a href="http://www.boots.com/en/NYX-Soft-Matte-lip-cream-14g_1770625/">NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream in Copenhagen</a>. This is another beautiful shade which looks particularly striking on a pale complexion. NYX are renowned for creating the most amazing lip products with top notch formulas and this line is no exception. These are velvety smooth on the lips and once they have dried down last exceedingly well. They can be a little on the drying side but I do't know of any matte lip products that don't dry you out just a tiny bit so I won't hold this against them. I find applying it on top of lip balm not only makes it go on easier and last longer, it does make it a little more comfortable as it wears. Last up for the classics is the <a href="http://www.boots.com/en/Maybelline-Color-Drama-Lipstick_1505296/">Maybelline Color Drama Lipstick in Berry Much</a>, and as the name would suggest it's a stunning berry shade. It's definitely more on the purple side and again looks amazing on pale skin but I'm sure it would look stunning on most skin tones! This is probably one of my favourite formulas, it's more of a satin finish as opposed to a matte which means it's a lot less drying than a matte (in fact they are crazily hydrating). They have the slightest shine to them and they aren't completely matte but they look amazing on the lips, quite a unique formula and one that you certainly need to try!<br />
<br />
Onto the more 'not so typical' Autumn/Winter colours, a favourite of mine of mine throughout the entire year but predominantly during the colder months is <a href="http://www.maccosmetics.co.uk/product/13854/310/products/makeup/lips/lipstick/lipstick#/shade/Whirl">Mac Whirl</a>. This is a cult favourite of many beauty lovers as I'm sure my friend Meg would agree (she has like 3 back ups at any one time because she's petrified of running out). This is the most unique shade I've ever come across, it looks totally different on every so if you're considering buying it then I'd definitely pop into Mac and try it on first. On me its more of a deep grey toned brown, definitely on the cool side but on meg it's definitely a lot lighter and warmer and definitely shows some more reddy/orangey tones. You can follow Meg on Instagram <a href="http://www.instagram.com/meganrose.__">here</a> to see what whirl looks like on her, plus she is literally a model anyway so you need to follow her, she is all of the goals. The formula of this is also a beautiful creamy texture which makes it very comfortable to wear and hardly drying at all! And last but not least we have another very unique colour, the <a href="http://www.boots.com/en/Revlon-ColorBurst-8482-Matte-Balm_1416281/">Revlon ColorBurst Matte Balm</a> is a deep dusky rose colour with a hint of nude, brown and red. It can also come across as almost salmony but it looks so different every time I wear it! It's a very beautiful 'my lips but a bit darker' colour and the formula doesn't fail to disappoint. The minty flavour makes your lips tingle and the balm like formula is perfect for the colder months for keeping your lips in tip top condition. This formula is unlike any other and brings together the best of both worlds, a beautiful matte that packs in a ton of moisture! Definitely one to check out if you're on a budget, as well as the aforementioned classic shades.<br />
<br />
Which shades do you love to sport during those chilly months?<br />

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I literally can't believe how fast this week has gone, it literally seems like it was yesterday that I sat down to write the last Sunday Edit! Oh and by the way, happy November! It just baffles me how it's November already, 2016 has been by far the fastest year ever and it won't be long until it's over. If I'm honest, I can't wait to see the back of this year, it hasn't been to fab really.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I had a bit of an epiphany this week as you may have noticed in Wednesday's post, which you can read <a href="http://emilyfayeslittleworld.blogspot.co.uk/2016/11/no-rain-no-flowers.html">here</a> if you haven't already seen it. I've decided I'm going to make some huge changes because I feel like I'm bored, stuck in a rut and to be honest, utterly miserable. You may have already noticed some changes in my blog over the last few weeks, my content has been a little different and more varied than before. I've just been so unhappy with everything in my life that I decided it was time to change and my blog was the first thing I started working on. I haven't been happy with it for a while and just felt like it was sort of stagnant, not really progressing or improving or really going anywhere. It was just your average, mediocre beauty blog and it was really grating on me. I may write a post solely on my plans for my website, although I have briefly touched on them in my weekly Sunday ramble sessions. I feel like there is a lot swimming round my brain at the moment and it may benefit me to get it down in black and white. I also want to completely revamp my room, I haven't been happy with that for a while either and I feel like it needs a good sort out. I'm hopefully going to do some planning for that over the next few weeks if I can find some time because I am unbelievably busy at the moment! I have a crazy amount of college work, loads of blog things to do, and I spend most of my time either in work or at college so I barely have any free time to just have a day to gather my thoughts and make some plans and goals. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I always get annoyed with myself around this time on a Sunday evening because I have a sudden burst of motivation and then start to get frustrated with myself because I've wasted the entire day being unproductive. The only thing I've done today is take a trip to the mall so I could check out the new Mac stand in John Lewis (which did not fail to please me immensely) and so my sister could get her ears pierced. Since I got home, I watched the other woman and lay about doing nothing, until I had a sudden burst of energy and wrote down a whole bunch of apprenticeships I want to apply for for next year and I've written two blogposts. I've now managed to find a whole list of things I need to get done this week and have realised I have limited time so I need to get my act together! My goal for this week is to sort my life out so to speak, catch up on all the things I need to get done and decide how I'm going to make myself happy and content again.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I hope you have had the loveliest week, and I hope you had a very safe and fun bonfire night! I'm going to use one of my new lush bath bombs and have a chill because my brain is in overdrive at the moment!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
As you may have noticed, I've been a collecting a little bunch of cute quotes that I've been putting in my Sunday posts and occasionally posting on Instagram. I was perusing Pinterest and Google Images picking out some of my favourites when I stumbled across this and I just sort of paused for thought and realised I could relate to it so much. It changed my outlook a little bit and made me realise that instead of being such a miserable mare every time something bad happens to me and then moan about it, just accept it and grow and blossom from it.</div>
<a name='more'></a> Once I thought about it, I grabbed my Dot Creates Blog Planner (post coming soon, this thing is a god send) and jotted down all the things that were going through my mind.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
My good friend Charleigh and I were discussing something that happened last Saturday which I won't go into because otherwise it makes it look like it's an aimed post and I'll get a load of stick for it. But we were talking and she said 'you do not deserve this, you're the sweetest little flower and they can take their pesticides, my little flower will continue to grow' (she then went on to diss me about my height but I'll let her off because what she said was otherwise very sweet). It made me think, if you throw pesticides on flowers enough, they eventually become resistant and reproduce and grow and blossom twice as much and twice as beautiful (GCSE science come through). So I applied that to life, if you continue to throw negativity at me enough, I'll eventually become resistant to it and be able to just let it bounce off me, and soon enough I'll spring back even better than before. I've decided that's its time for me to start thriving on negativity. I'm so fed up of being miserable and letting every little thing bother me, it's time to rise above it and get on with my life and focus on me. I will not spend my life taking rubbish from other people and having them constantly making life difficult for me. Whatever I do, I'll have someone give me stick for it and I can't change that, but what I can change is the way I handle it. I've learned to accept that I can't please everyone and no matter what I do, someone will always have a problem with me and that's ok because that's just life.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I'm trying to convince myself that good things will always come after the bad times and I just have to persevere on through and come out the other side even better than before. I have more important things to focus on; my education, my career, my job, my family, my friends (though there are very few of them, they're the best bunch of people I could ask for), my blog and all the other important, positive things in my life. There is no point stressing over something that can't be changed no matter how much I moan about it, it is what it is and it's time I just accept that and turn my attention to it. I will not have my peace and happiness ruined by people who feel the need to do everything in their power to get me down, I need to blossom and grow into a beautiful peony to show them that they're wasting their time. Life is too short to concern yourself with negative people and negative vibes.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I've rambled enough so I'll leave you lovely flowers to enjoy your evening. This is the new (not really new just improved, less moany and annoying, if you will) Emily signing off.</div>

This week has flown by, yet again. I feel like I say this every week but it really is true, time goes by so quickly I just can't keep up! This week has been dance show week as I mentioned last week and it has been amazing as always, I'm so exhausted now but it was totally worth every second! There's nothing like the buzz you get when you're dancing in front of an amazing audience who do nothing but sing your praises, it's the reason I'm still dancing 14 years on from when I first started! Another thing came to an end this weekend, the caravan shuts tomorrow for the winter and we have just got home, which is a bit sad but hopefully the winter will fly by and we will be going back in no time! I have a lot of things planned for this winter so hopefully I'll keep myself occupied so the winter doesn't drag too much. I miss not going away every weekend, I'm so lucky to have a place where I can escape every weekend to just relax after a tough week, not to mention the absolutely lovely people who I've met down there. It's sad saying good bye to them for 5 months but at least we keep in touch.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
This week was great up until Saturday when I yet again had to deal with a load of hate from someone who barely knows me, trying to talk me down and saying that I lie about everything and apparently offend them by discussing my life on my Facebook and blah blah blah. Well jokes on them because I have a list of blog post ideas in front of me that it has inspired me to write so if you're reading this (which you probably are because I've blocked you on everything else and this is your only way of seeing what I have to say) I'd just like to thank you because not only has it helped me to change some things in my life and realise that there are a whole bunch of people that I need to get out of my life, but I have a whole bunch of blog content to come out of it! Quite a result if you ask me, but you'll no longer see these little people getting attention from me so this should be the last you ever hear of them.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Onto something a bit more fun, I finally mastered the perfect smoothie recipe this week and it is honestly life changing. My parents bought this huge box of fruit and veg for £15 and had it delivered so I've been trying to help them use it all up and I thought smoothies were the perfect way. The smoothie I made was an iced strawberry and banana one, I was trying to make one similar to the McDonald's ones because they're amazing but I didn't quite manage that, but this one was still good. I may do a blogpost on the recipe if that's something you'd be interested in, something a little different to my usual beauty, fashion and moaning posts. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Another fabulous thing that happened this week was pay day, and if you follow me on Instagram you'll have seen that treated myself to a few bits. Having a car and debts means I've had to learn to be careful and sensible with my money and budget at quite a young age which I think is great because I'm fully prepared for adult life. I think I may do a post on budgeting and tips and tricks for managing your money in the near future because I think those of you reading this who are perhaps at Uni or are paying mortgages, loans, car finance etc would find it hopefully of some use.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
This week has been relatively lazy which I'm a bit miffed about but also kind of grateful for. Miffed because I had a lot of stuff I wanted to get done this week, I wasn't set any college work so I just wanted to sort out all my paperwork from the previous term, perhaps do a bit of revision and just make sure I'm up to date on everything so I don't feel like I'm being swamped. That didn't happen, nor did all the blogposts that wanted to get done because I have had no motivation where I have been so exhausted. On the bright side, I think a nice relaxing break has done me good so I won't run out of steam before I get to the end of the next term, if I would've worked hard all week I wouldn't have had any break and would've completely had enough by mid-november so perhaps it was a blessing. I also had a lot of holiday that I hadn't taken at work so I booked the week off which has also been great. I still have two days left to get a few things done, and then I'm back to college AND work on Wednesday all in one day. Wednesdays are such a killer because I'm up at 6:30 to drive to college, then I'm in college until 12:10 and then I have 35 minutes to eat and get to work for my shift at 12:45 and then I work until 8. I always sleep well on a Wednesday night because I'm exhausted from college, work and also dancing on a Tuesday night leaves me aching and tired too! Ah well, such is life. Not complaining though, because without my job, I would have hardly any money, my car wouldn't be on the road and I also wouldn't have the amazing little family who I work with. I'm so lucky to work with such amazing and supportive people, they've really helped me over the past month which was a pretty tough one. I felt so accepted by them when I first started working there and we all just bonded so well.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I'm actually so excited for Halloween tomorrow, I have no plans but Halloween just gets me so excited because deep down I'm still a 7 year old child! My friends, Libby and Rachael are coming round tomorrow so I can do Libby's makeup for her Halloween party tomorrow night so expect some photos of a very cute little Tinkerbell all over my social media tomorrow.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I think that's all I have to ramble on about today, let me know what you're doing for halloween and what you're dressing up as! I hope you've had a fabulous half term and hopefully going back this week isn't too painful for you!</div>

Still unsure what sort of costume you want to wear for Halloween? Stuck for ideas on how to do your makeup? Or are you just a lover of Halloween Makeup like me? Then you've come to the right place! I've compiled a huge collection of some of my favourite Halloween tutorials and looks floating around the internet this year to hopefully help some of you out who are panicking at the last minute!</div>
<a name='more'></a>I've also linked the tutorials on the photos so if you see something you like the look of, just click the photo to find out how to recreate the look. I've found some very simple ones and some more complex ones so there are a variety of different looks to suit everyones level of skill. There are 50 looks all together so hopefully everyone will find something to suit them! Some of these also have costume ideas incorporated so hopefully this will be useful. So, here goes......<br />

Happy Sunday! I can't believe how fast this week has gone, and I have two say I am pretty glad that it's over and done with. I was in college from Monday to Thursday which wasn't actually that bad, and then I was done for half term! Friday was the first official day of half term, I went to get my nails done with one of my closest friends Charleigh (find her blog <a href="http://www.theglossytruth.blogspot.co.uk/">here</a>) which you may have already seen on my Instagram which if you don't follow me, you can either click the button in my sidebar or search my username, its_little_em. I went for something plain and understated because this week is my dance show and we can't wear nail varnish so these will be virtually undetectable under the lights. The quote above pretty much sums up the week to come, I have a few little college bits I want to get done but this week will be spent blogging and dancing, so I will be doing what I love and a lot of it! I'm so excited for this week, I didn't think 15 years later that I would still get so excited about the dance shows, I look forward to this all year. I'm sure you will see plenty of backstage photos all over my social media over the next week so you'll be able to see what I'm up to every night!<br />
<br />
I have a lot planned for this week, I have a lot of blogging that I want to get done and I want to make sure that I'm well up to date and prepared because once I go back to college after half term, my workload is going to increase dramatically leading up to Christmas and mock exams. Once I have finished this post, I'm going to make myself a to do list and do a bit of scheduling so I can decide what I'm going to do and when I'm going to do it. I like to take Sunday evenings to have a bit of a chill and also get myself sorted for the week ahead. I'm a bit of a planning freak so I like to write lists and have my week laid out in front of me so I can feel like I'm well prepared. I'm hoping to get a few blog posts up this week because I have so many autumnal inspired posts that I want to do and get up before the season passes. I'm so inspired at the minute so hopefully I'll be churning posts out left right and centre over the next few months!<br />
<br />
I stopped to watch Jaclyn Hill's snapchat story and I completely lost my train of thought, so I'm going to wrap this up here and leave you to enjoy what's left of your Sunday Evening! I hope you have a fantastic week, let me know what exciting things you have planned for the week ahead!<br />
